Do you want to hear another 2 guys on the internet talk to you about COVID-19 aka Corona Virus? Of course not! But here we are. Before all that we discuss the games leading up to this suspension as well as the release of Jordan Bell, signing of Anthony Tolliver and Jontay Porter, and how we would like to see Josh Jackson on this team long term. Then we get into what the suspension means for the Grizzlies in particular, which even though this sucks and we are without basketball for a month (at least), it might not be the worst thing to have an extra month of rest for Jaren, Justise, and Brandon Clarke. Not really. The title is more of a take on how we feel everyone is reacting to these games post-All Star break. Yeah, it sucks. But there are also a bunch of key factors that contributed to this brutal road trip. Injuries to 3 of the top 6 players on the team, all away games, playing 3 of the top 7 NBA teams within a 5 day stretch, new players working into rotations. It was a pending disaster, the only game to really be upset about losing is the Kings. The others had some awful stretches to them but they were likely losses regardless. Were there things that needed to be improved on during those games? Absolutely, 1st quarter scoring in particular, but it's not AS BAD as what it would seem if you take a step back and really examine it all. Follow us on social media everywhere @litnesspodcast

We also hit the 3 games that led into All Star Weekend 2/7/20 vs 76ers, 2/9/20 vs Wizards, and 2/12/20 vs Blazers. Now we look ahead to the last 28 games of the season and the playoff push, even if the national media thinks it's a fact we will fall out. Good riddance to Andre Igoudala and his insane spin of the situation to the national media. We will genuinely miss Jae Crowder, Pastor Hill, and Bruno Cabocolo though. I'm aware in the intro of the show I said an "8 game win streak". We correct it later on but we were so hyped on the amount of insane basketball we just watched that I hope you can forgive this small oversight. The Memphis Grizzlies are fun. Like, too fun? That's not possible but there is no reason they should be this good this early on. Ja and JJJ developing like this at just 20 years old is incredible. The fact that Ja, Jaren, and DILLON BROOKS all want to play in the biggest moments and think they can beat anyone is a joy to watch. They work hard and it shows but we have to also give credit to the coaching staff. Taylor Jenkins has to be in the consideration for Coach Of The Year, right? This is the team that Memphis deserves and the amount of national coverage over the last month or so has been almost unbelievable. We are the new sweetheart, fun team in the NBA! This is our recap for the games vs Thunder (12/18/19), vs Cavs (12/20/19, vs Kings (12/21/19), vs Spurs (12/23/19), and vs Thunder (12/26/19). It wasn't a great week, all things considered, but at least we won 2 of them! I (Zac) had the flu and with it being Christmas time this was the earliest we were able to record but we hit every game we missed and then broke down Zach Randolph's official retirement and what he means to the franchise long term. We also talk about Jae's horrendous shooting numbers and Tyus getting back on track and then do a mini look ahead to next summer's free agency when the Grizzlies have the 2nd highest amount of capspace.
