Today, we talk about the tragic murder of a young man with a bright future ahead of him, whose life was cut short far too soon. His name was Jason Rodriguez from Tampa, Florida. Jason was lured to his murder by a person pretending to be a girl he was chatting with online. Remember how excited we were when the internet first hit the scene, particularly chat rooms? We'd come home from school, power up our computers, eagerly anticipating the familiar sound of the AOL dial-up modem, ready to log in to instant messenger and engage in conversations with friends, perhaps even venturing into a chat room or two. I personally even met one of my online friends in person who thankfully was who he claimed to be. However, as many have experienced, this isn't always the case. Countless individuals have fallen victim to deception, leading to serious emotional harm, and tragically, some have even lost their lives. Today we speak our thoughts on the new series Quiet on Set. A docuseries exposing situations that transpired behind the scenes of many of our favorite shows on the beloved Nickelodeon network. If you were a 90's teen, chances are you will remember the iconic show, My So-Called Life. The love story between Jordan Catalano (Jared Leto) and Angela Chase (Claire Danes) was iconic and something all of us dreamt of as a teen. The show follows Angela while she deals with the randomness of teenage drama, peer pressure, friendships, love, and teen angst. I think we can all agree that this show captured the mood of what the 90s was known for. Not to mention the drama that unfolded while watching the characters find themselves and unravel the traumas of their youth. The show was surprisingly only 1 season but I did not disappoint.

Today we continue to catch up and get down to the nitty-gritty with the Diddy 411. Diddy was a big hit in the 90's so we felt it was only necessary to spill the tea on the story that is blowing up our news feeds. On today's episode of Crime Talk with Stef, we discuss the Christine Paolilla case which revolves around the tragic and gruesome murders of four innocent people, 2 of whom were Christine's best friends, in Clear Lake, Texas in 2003. The victims were found shot to death in a home, with the crime initially appearing to be a home invasion. However, the investigation eventually led to Paolilla and her boyfriend at the time, Christopher Snider, who later committed suicide. Paolilla was arrested in 2006 and stood trial, where she was convicted on four counts of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
