Kickin It

12/22/2025
Have you ever stumbled upon a hidden gem that just needed the right moment to shine? Well, that's exactly what happened with the catchy tune “Kicking It.” Originally crafted as the theme song for the 2007 WB TV series pilot “Moonlight,” this upbeat track unfortunately never hit the airwaves. However, it did find its way onto the DVD release in 2010. Before being revived, “Kicking It” found a cozy home in a few independent films and shorts, yet it remained largely under the radar—until now! While piecing together tracks for the highly anticipated 45th Anniversary Anthology album, Brian made an exciting discovery: a nearly complete country rendition he had re-composed years ago for a friend's birthday celebration. With a bit of digital magic, he overdubbed some backing vocals and dusted off this long-forgotten treasure. The result? The first worldwide release of “Kicking It”, ready to welcome listeners old and new! So, whether you’re a longtime admirer or just embarking on your musical journey, this delightful track is poised to charm its way into your heart. Demographics Title: Kicking It Album: 45th Anniversary Anthology Year: 2025 Track #: CBD Recorded at: Capitol Records. Los Angeles. California Engineering: Brian Walton Distribution: N/A Composition: Brian Walton Lyrics: Brian Walton Performers: Brian Walton: All Instruments and Vocals Lyrics Mow the lawn, wash the car And I better not think to wander too far It’s just one of them days A ten-foot list of Honey-Do’s Change a light bulb and change a blown-out fuse Puts my mind in a haze Well, my part-time job as handyman Is starting to come to an end Chorus I’ll start a-Kicking it With a cold beer in my hand Trying not to understand The nagging in my ears Take the kids to Sunday school Rush on home to clean the pool And we’re shopping again Stumble around with both arms full Peeking around the kitchen rolls Short of popping a vein Well, with all this work, it sure ain’t no wonder She’ll outlive me by a little bit longer Chorus 2x Well, with all this work, it sure ain’t no wonder She’ll outlive me by a little bit longer Chorus

Strange Sensation feat JoAnna Leaton

10/20/2022
In this latest installment of Brian Walton's top hit 'Strange Sensation', Joanna Leaton delivers a command performance with undeniable skill and power ala Reba or Wynonna. Fast As You (Cover)

6/20/2022
Much of the original writing and composing for the album “Made in the Shade” happened in the studio and to be on the safe side, Brian recorded a few additional cover songs just in case he ended up short or one or more of his originals would be rejected by the record company. Brian’s rendition of the 1993 hit “Fast as You” was recorded right after Brian completed the European leg of Dwight Yoakum’s USO tour.

Feels Like

7/16/2015
Time to start the weekend in style! This song was written explicitly just as a jingle and I didn't really push it much, because I thought it too commercial. However fans want to hear it, so I included it on the album. Like with every other song on the album, I played all the instruments on this one and am quite proud of how the drum track turned out.
