Ep. 11 - An Inspiring Story of a Uterine Fibroid Tumor Healing with Visualization and an Integrative Approach

7/1/2023
As we think about the stressors of life, health issues are at the top of the list. Imagine being born into a family with a doctor while struggling for years with a massive Uterine Fibroid Tumor. Seeing all of the best doctors while also listening to her intuition she navigated all of the challenges, including being told she'd never carry her own child. In the Summer of 2021 I had a lovely and open conversation with Heidi Spinella as she shared the story of some of the highs and lows of her life. Her personal story is quite inspiring especially because she wasn't focused on the healing, she was focused on seeing and feeling a positive end result. Regardless of if you have a health challenge or not, I'm optimistic that you'll enjoy the conversation. Deepak Chopra's book "Quantum Healing" was a game changer that gave her the inspiration and confidence that she could heal herself. That was the very first spiritual book that I bought and shared with Lauren to inspire her to work to heal at the root. Perhaps you have stumbled across this very episode for permission to trust your intuition and know that healing is possible. Pema Chödrön was another teacher that walked alongside of her along the journey. https://stressology.com/ Instagram: @StressologyHQ YouTube: @MoniqueLauria Connect with Heidi at: https://www.practicalpm.com/

Ep 8. - Radical self love using tapping (EFT)

8/26/2021
On this episode Monique is joined by her mother-in-law, BettyAnn Lauria, on the podcast to explore the modality called Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), which is also known as tapping. She will share more information on this transformational tool and will even run through a sample session where listeners can insert an issue or challenge they are trying to tackle or resolve. The timing couldn't be better following the episode on shadow work and exploring what is the root cause of what triggers our shadow or subconscious self. Awareness is a first step but this technique allows you to do a reset to take the charge away and reset the energetic body. If anything came up for you in the previous episode, the sample session would be a great test of how much progress you can make on resolving it. To learn more about the tapping points that she describes during the episode, please look at the images here: https://www.mariposaeft.com/what-is-tapping-eft.html Optimistic, loving, encouraging, hopeful, empowered, and authentic are the Austique vibes we hope you feel in this episode.

Ep 7. Using shadow work to shift perspective

8/4/2021
In this episode, Monique Lauria explores an approach to healing that has become popular in spiritual circles known as shadow work. She looks at how others have defined and described it as well as how and when the subconscious mind is programmed. She explore two examples to bring this work to life. First, is a very personal one about lessons learned from a conflict years ago which sheds insight around why ally-ship can sometimes seem performative. The second is the well known incident in May of 2020 in Central Park, NYC. Looking at the charged incident through a new lens of shadow work, there are new potential insights around the negative impacts of the subconscious programming that exists within all of us. Honest, eye-opening, insightful, and vulnerable are the Austique vibes she's putting out in this episode.

Ep 6. Soul searching in nature with the sun, moon, and Earth

6/10/2021
During this episode, Monique explores a few different techniques for soul searching and connecting to your inner guidance and intuition. The conversation is anchored into the trinity of the sun, moon, and earth. She shares the meaning of rainbows to her as a sign from the other side as well as her experience seeing a whirling rainbow or a sunbow while talking about the powerful energy of the sun. When exploring the power of the moon and working with the cycles, she gives a high level of the power of each quarter phase as well as an example of how a lunar month could play out with the intention of healing your ancestral line. Then, the second half of the episode becomes more interactive while grounding (or earthing) outside. Learn a bit about the Schumann Resonance and Earth's heartbeat. Combing all of those things together sends the intention out to the universe that you are open to hearing your own inner guidance and wisdom. Monique shares some examples of how that connection has positively impacted her life. Hopefully, you feel inspired by this episode to begin making steps towards starting or growing that conversation. Ep 3. - Honestly, we have a problem every BODY should care about

4/15/2021
During this episode, I talk with a friend, Kira, in an open and honest conversation about bodies and anti-fatness, especially in healthcare. This episode is the first in a series on big topics that have been on my mind and heart. After a lot of reflection, I've come to believe that this matrescence period is about finding our way back to ourselves... mind, body, and soul. As a wise friend said, if I've been percolating on a topic, it's very likely others will find the conversation helpful and interesting too. As a mom, a woman, or any person really... how can I truly love anyone if I don't first love myself? This episode is an especially vulnerable one exploring what I believe to be the societal pressures holding us back from that love of our bodies and therefore ourselves that many of us struggle with. I share stories of those challenges during pregnancy and delivery that may be tough to hear. I invite you to sit with that discomfort and let it percolate for you to see what it brings up. The main goal of Austique is more love in the world. Hopefully this series will inspire more love in everyday life and maybe even within yourself. Honest, transparent, shocking, and inspiring, are the Austique vibes I hope you feel. Inspired by my fan-girling of Brene Brown and Sonya Renee Taylor.
