Tripwire EIC Joel Meadows was lucky enough to be present for the very entertaining (and revelation-filled) round table with ARROW star Manu Bennett, as he talked about the evolution of the small screen iteration of Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke, how his character grows in the latest season with the relationship between Slade and his son, meeting the original creators of the character at comic conventions, and what fans can expect from Slade and the show coming up.

One of the premier British creators working in comics today, Kieron Gillen has had an enviable career (alongside his artist partner-in-crime Jamie McKelvie): bypassing the traditional path through UK comics and landing their first projects with American publishers, most notably PHONOGRAM with Image Comics.
As Image celebrate their 25th Anniversary in 2017, Tripwire Magazine EIC Joel Meadows talks to Kieron about his thoughts on the impact of the publisher, not only on his own career but on the comics landscape in general.
Kieron also reflects on the early days of PHONOGRAM ahead of a new retrospective release and also on the latest developments of editors such as Karen Berger and Shelly Bond, both now setting up creator-led imprints (at IDW Publishing and Dark Horse Comics respectively) and how Image led for such imprints to become established.
