The Forgotten

8/18/2019
Sunday Night Stories The Forgotten Produced by Emily Wilden Welcome to Sunday Night Stories, tonight I’d like to share a documentary I produced about Eastville Workhouse, a burial ground and an actress. This piece was created for BCfm’s project 12 communities 1 Bristol, which explores the heritage of different areas in Bristol. BCfm is a community radio station dedicated to representing the many underserved members or groups within Bristol that don't get access to the airwaves via an award winning schedule of music, speech and creative programming. BCfm is currently crowd funding to rebuild their studios after a fire completely destroyed their main studio. As a community radio they will need all the support they can get to help them back on their feet. The Final Meeting

8/4/2019
Sunday Night Stories The Final Meeting Written by Matt Gopsill Narrated by Jess Lloyd-Jones Happy Sunday and happy August! Tonight we have Jess Lloyd Jones narrating another of Matt Gopsill’s wonderful poems. Here is The Final Meeting. Here’s a little about Matt.. “My name is Matt and I am just a normal man with some wheels strapped to me. My background is in computing and I thought that was where my talents lied, but in my spare time I was writing poetry. Usually to get things off my chest and yes sometimes for valentines day! I was finding I really enjoyed writing and people loved what I had written so I semi secretly wrote more. Last July I went to the Word with someone who was performing and really enjoyed listening to the different genres and thought I am going to see if I can read one of mine. Rob Gee was host so I kind of knew him and he said course. So I was a little nervous because I use a computer to talk for me and I had never spoken a poem out loud, it went ok and I got a round of applause! I had to tell everyone I was writing poetry and come out then. My writing has come on so much from then in quality and quantity, writing poetry about any topic being funny or serious. I just wait for inspiration to come and I never know what poetry I am going to write next which is quite exciting. I have now set up a blog called partdalek.com and looking for places to publish my work.” To keep up to date with Matt's work you can visit his blog www.partdalek.com Jess studied acting at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and is currently based in Oxfordshire. Sunday Night Stories Curse of the Carrier Pigeon and a Plethora of Fecal Find. Written by Laura Lamarca Narrated by Krage Brown It’s time for another Sunday Night Story, and tonight we have a final piece from the wonderful Laura Lamarca called Curse of the Carrier Pigeon and a Plethora of Fecal Find. This weeks piece is narrated by the lovely Krage Brown, so sit back and enjoy. Please note this episode does contain some strong language. Laura recently had a 2nd edition of her book Memoirs of a Messed-Up Mum published, which is currently available on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/179774142X/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_bAUSCb2CRY4WN Here’s a little about Laura… “I’m 45, a widow of 15 years, mother of 3 fabulous independent adults, live alone with my antisocial chihuahua Luna in Brighton, UK. I’ve written poetry for my entire widowhood as a form of self therapy. I’m also the creator of many forms of modern poetry, some of which can be found listed here: http://www.shadowpoetry.com/resources/wip/types.html Shadowpoetry is a website I’d recommend any aspiring poet to bookmark...each lesson is a new adventure. People, poetry, voice...it all should evolve continuously. I’d also recommend www.allpoetry.com for the start of any poetic journey if people want to read other amateur poets and receive feedback for their own poetry in a community where everyone is aspiring for the same thing – to be heard. Education, recognition of one’s own unique voice, is essential if you wish to have your poetry stand out from the crowd." Krage is an Oxfordshire based actor and voice artist.
