EP17: Brendan Lund - Are You Standing in Your Own Way?

1/29/2019
Tonight, we are going to be talking about limiting beliefs. What are limiting beliefs you ask? A limiting belief is a belief that you have about yourself that hinders your ability to achieve any goal. The tough thing about limiting beliefs is that many times we are not consciously aware of them. It is sitting in the back of your mind. If you have the wherewithal to recognize what it is, you need to write it down and work on it. Do not let where you come from determine where you are going! EP15: Being Real, Post-Show Weight Gain, and the “My Way or the Highway” Mindset

1/3/2019
As individuals, we form our own ideas about people based on their social media. That’s why it is so important to be as real as possible whether you are online or offline. When you’re real, people know exactly what they’re going to get when they enter your life. This can help you avoid surrounding yourself with the wrong people and getting into the wrong relationships. Having the the right people in your life is vital because you need people to support you when you’re having self-confidence issues or when you’re training for a show or for any number of reasons. Remember, stay away from the cookie cutter or “my way or the highway” mindset. Stay true to who you are and stick with what works best for you. EP14: Sex, Health, and Business

1/1/2019
A lot of people listening to this focus on surviving instead of thriving. Having that mindset will hold you back from success. Everyone wants to eat better food and safest car and comfiest clothes. The entire point of having extra income is to increase your quality of life. There’s nothing wrong with chasing more money because you don’t know how long you’re going to be here. If you are here to thrive, you will be willing to do what it takes every single day. Being perfect is what you make of it, especially when it comes to being healthy. Good health is really how you describe it personally. Going out to have a drink isn’t going to kill you. In fact, letting go a little and having fun is a major factor of being mentally healthy because health is not just a physical aspect. Another factor of mental health is whatever your relationship status is. If you’re going to be in a serious relationship, you need to be with someone who is on-board with you chasing your dreams. They are either helping or hurting you whether that is their intent or not. Remember, you cannot truly love someone else until you truly love yourself. In this episode, we talk about… Being a result of your environmentGetting complacent when you’re the big fish in the small pondThe drawbacks of having a poor-money mindsetSurviving compared to thrivingThere’s nothing wrong with wanting to increase your quality of lifeFinding the balance between money value and memory valueDefining health from a physical and mental standpointBeing perfect for yourselfEffects on business of being in a relationshipHaving a toxic social circleThe importance of truly loving yourselfBenefits of selfish decisionsThe answer almost always falls in the middle Links to resources: Brian Facebook Trainerize.me Brendan Lund | Online Coach For more information about Brendan Lund follow him on Instagram, Twitter or check out his Link Tree

EP13: How to Crush Business and Life if You’re Multi-Passionate with Emily Frisella

12/27/2018
Being multi-passionate keeps you from feeling burnt out and helps you stay passionate about all of your different projects. Your days have much more diversity that you normally would if you stuck to one thing. The reason that people become burnt out on their careers is because they find themselves working for the benefit of the company. They don’t get to see the impact of their job or the value that they bring. Doing the same thing every day can become monotonous and cause you to lose your passion. Organized chaos can be healthy for the mind and allow you to keep killing it in your multitude of passions as well as start new ones. As someone moves along through their multi-passion entrepreneurial journey, their title becomes longer and longer. This makes it increasingly more difficult to define yourself when asked the question, “who are you?” Don’t ever let that stop you from your title. In this episode, we talk about… The different aspects of being multi-passionate in business and lifeHow to stay passionate about all of your projectsGreat tasting macro-friendly recipesOrganized chaos and what it meansStaying at peace with all the chaos going onEmily’s upcoming projectsThe importance of showing up prepared for life Links to resources: Emily Instagram The Fresh Farmhouse | Amazon Food in Session Podcast Brendan Lund | Online Coach For more information about Brendan Lund follow him on Instagram, Twitter or check out his Link Tree

EP12: Using Our Own Adversity to Affect Change in Others with Kaitlyn Jennings

12/25/2018
When you get a mentor that is incredible that tells you, “you can do this,” you develop the confidence to go for your dreams. In order to be that mentor to someone else, you have to be down in the mud yourself at some point. Adversity will show itself at the most critical moments of your life and you will be presented with a choice. You can choose to collapse and let life take you down, or you can realize that this is your moment to push through and change your life. EP11: The power of trying new things

12/20/2018
There is nothing wrong with trying different routes to achieve the big vision. What’s the worst thing that could happen when trying new things? Negative visualization is key because it prepares you for the worst, thus creating more confidence. You will feel pressure and judgement from society as well as family and friends but if you really work hard you can achieve what people say you can’t. There is no longer a blueprint for how the timeline of life is supposed to look like; getting married by 27 or having kids and a house by 30 or being stuck in the same job for 50 years, these things aren’t set in stone anymore. If you want to switch career paths at 30 then know that you have that option if you are willing to work for it. Doing things that make you happy will make you more successful because those things are easier to do on a day to day basis. If you are unhappy with your life or job situation then try something new, because for all you know that new thing could be your passion. In this episode, we talk about… Keltie’s journeyThe power of trying new thingsLiving a structured life vs. a spontaneous lifeHow to avoid Negative visualizationOutside pressureDoing what makes you happyStaying true to yourselfDeveloping End goalsTips to being happy Links to resources: Keltie O’Connor Keltie Instagram Keltie Youtube Brendan Lund | Online Coach For more information about Brendan Lund follow him on Instagram, Twitter or check out his Link Tree

EP10: Staying true to your morals in the sea of sales and criticism

12/18/2018
As human beings we influence people on a daily basis, whether you have Instagram or not. You don’t have to wait until you have 10,000 followers on Instagram to have a positive influence on people. Everyone has influence in some capacity, but it is up to you to decide how it affects your decisions. Being an influencer is something we can all be but some people do it for the right reasons and some do it for the wrong reasons. Be aware that there is a difference between knowing how to coach someone and how to sell someone. Preying on someone’s ego is how many companies push their products and services on people and that is what gives the term “influencer” a dark side. Instead of talking about how good their own service or product is, most people talk about what everyone else is doing wrong. If someone is confident in their service, then they should let that speak for itself. Remember, progress takes time with anything, so stay true to your morals don’t let the “overnight” sales and criticism that you see on social media stop your from reaching your goals. In this episode, we talk about… The term “influencer”Causes of frustration on InstagramBeing genuine when marketing your product/serviceHow to stay out of a negative cloudGood coaches vs. bad coachesPatience of people hiring coachesProgress takes time Links to resources: Lexi Deyoung Fitness Lexi Youtube Lexi Instagram Brendan Lund | Online Coach For more information about Brendan Lund follow him on Instagram, Twitter or check out his Link Tree

EP09: Letting go of who we think we should be, to find out who we really are

12/13/2018
Before you can achieve constant growth, you need to know who you really are. As human beings, we don’t like to change because it makes us uncomfortable, but there is both pain and pleasure on the path to knowing who you are. Letting yourself go in a new direction is just a way of becoming who you are truly meant to be. When we refuse to change, we limit our ability to grow. Our potential is limitless, and when we stick to one thing we label ourselves as only that. Every different path in your life is part of your journey, and like all paths, there are many shifts and turns. We have been conditioned as a society that you are what you do, and that puts a cap on what we can do. Remember, nothing is permanent, so let your soul guide your mind and you will walk the path that you are meant to. In this episode, we talk about… Valentina’s storyThe role of shifting paths when it comes to evolvingReasons people cannot detach from something they are good atDefining yourselfSigns that you are being called in a different directionSelf-reflection as a toolImportance of connecting with othersThe Law of AttractionBeneficial daily practices Links to resources: Valentina Instagram VEstBuild Fitness Insight Timer Brendan Lund | Online Coach For more information about Brendan Lund follow him on Instagram, Twitter or check out his Link Tree

EP08: You're never too young to dominate: From orthorexia to self-love and success

12/11/2018
You’re never too young to dominate. Age is just a number and you can’t let that number define how you feel or how you carry yourself. If you go on places like instagram, you can almost always find someone that is doing better than you or younger than you. It is like a highlight reel. Just because they are posting a nice photo album does not mean that they have a nice life. When you go through an eating disorder recovery, you have to look inside and try to find out who you are because you have labeled yourself as something else for so long. Knowing who you are plays a major part in recovery as well as trying to build your personal brand. Once you know who you are, you can stop doing what you think you should do, and start doing things your way to go after your “why”. Authenticity is a major key to success. Follow your “why”. EP07: Staying committed to your dreams at all costs

12/6/2018
It’s impressive to be in a place where you enjoy what you are doing, only to transition to a place that you like even more. You can be happy with something but it may not be what you want to do with your life. If you know in 30 to 40 years that you don’t want to be here, you better start doing something about it. Remember, taking the first step is just that, the first step. It is easy to start something new because your progression is so fast at first. Only when you are really good at something does the progression slow down, and that’s when most people quit. There will always be an excuse getting in the way of the realization that right now is the best time to start going after your dreams. Don’t be scared to commit to your dreams; the attempt is not a pass/fail but more like taking classes. Each time you attempt, you will learn something new. There will be rough times on the way but you can do it, and you need to tell yourself that. If you don’t believe in yourself and what you are doing, then no one will. Be all in or not in at all. In this episode, we talk about… Cecilia’s storyThe right time to take the first stepRole of a good support systemImportance of believing in yourself firstPerks of being genuine all the timeGetting past the fear of failureHolding yourself and others to a higher standard Links to resources: Cecilia Instagram Cecilia Link Tree Brendan Lund | Online Coach For more information about Brendan Lund follow him on Instagram, Twitter or check out his Link Tree

EP06: Using messy action to turn an idea into a thriving business

12/4/2018
Being in business for the right reasons is very important. That being, making money vs. making a difference. Having previous struggles can help you relate to clients that you are genuinely trying to help. The ability to relate to clients is a huge advantage when turning an idea into a thriving business. For both parties, having a good support system is crucial, especially because you will have struggles, not only with the business but also with yourself and staying motivated. The best businesses start with messy action. Whether people are perfectionist or procrastinators, they tend to wait way too long to start their businesses. It’s not going to be perfect at first but after bringing in your first few clients, it will start to snowball after that. Just take your business off the ground, even if you don’t have everything lined up perfectly. Each step could fail but you will learn from it. EP05: The Truth About Eating Disorders: From Near Death to Bursting With Life with Sarah Ramadan

11/29/2018
When you start to limit what you eat for the sole reason of restricting calories, when you stop eating food here and there, feel ashamed when eating this, there is a problem. Different diets can be forms of control. Nutrition is an easy thing to turn to when you do not have control in other parts of their life. It starts small and spirals out of control. If you don’t accept yourself today, and give yourself that unconditional love, you will never get to where you want to be. The road to recovery must come with an urgency to discover so that you can become your old self again, but also make necessary changes. If we can circle the question of self-worth on a daily basis, then self-love becomes easier. You have to accept yourself today to get to where you want to be tomorrow. EP04: Using Discipline to Dominate Your Life with Chris Elkins

11/27/2018
Motivation comes and goes; that’s why it is so important to stay disciplined so that when it goes you don’t get off track on the way to completing your goals. It is unreasonable to assume that you can walk in and accomplish a goal on a dime. Setting short term goals is the best way to gradually work towards accomplishing your long term goals. Staying disciplined can be natural by having habits, balance, and a great support system from family and friends. When you really put your mind to something, you either do it or you don’t. If you’re happy doing what you are doing, you don’t have to work 80 hours a week to grow. At some point you have enough money to have everything you want. Recognize when life is ideal. When it comes to accomplishing your goals, whether it be short term or long term, try to do the hardest thing first. In that regard, the path to achieving your dreams is all downhill after that. You are either growing, or you are dying and there is nothing enjoyable about spinning the hamster wheels. No one likes to admit that they are lacking in some areas because self-reflection can be scary and painful, thinking about the negative things you used to, but it is essential in moving forward to a positive light. It is very tough growing up with insecurities, but find a way to outlet your emotions, whether that be through social media or therapy, and you will come to find that you are not alone. EP01: Why Your Fitness Coaching Service Sucks with Nick Komodina

11/27/2018
If you want to be a fitness coach, your are someone that people should be looking up to. However, it’s few and far between that you meet a trainer who’s the same on the internet as they are in person. Bridging the gap between the science and how to implement that in a real life situation with a real person is something that is missing. In this episode, we discuss why your fitness coaching service sucks and what to look for in a good one. Any online fitness coach who leads with anything along the lines of “use my discount code” or “you need to buy this supplement and combine it with this one” is money hungry and blowing smoke. You need a coach that is a real person who makes their money by providing value to people, someone that is going to tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. You need someone who is not fake and is willing to make adjustments accordingly in order to stay away from the one size fits all. Exceptional coaches go above and beyond to make sure their clients are taken care of in every way that they can. In this episode, we talk about… Nick’s fitness coaching storyThings trainers do that hurt clientsImpakt (Nick’s fitness umbrella company)Being adaptable to different client lifestylesWhat to look for in online fitness coachesMotivations to continue growing in fitness training Links to resources: Nick Komodina Instagram Brendan Lund | Online Coach For more information about Brendan Lund follow him on Instagram, Twitter or check out his Link Tree
