EP 7: High blood pressure

11/7/2019
The two most common causes of kidney disease are diabetes and high blood pressure. If your family has a history of any kind of kidney problems, you may be at risk for kidney disease Diabetes is a disease that keeps the body from using sugar as it should. If sugar stays in your blood instead of breaking down, it can act as a poison. Damage to the nephrons from unused sugar in the blood is called diabetic nephropathy. If you keep your blood sugar levels down, you can prevent diabetic nephropathy Our diabetes detox helps the body control insulin levels and blood sugar by assisting the body in the breakdown of sugar and regulating hormones. High blood pressure can damage the small blood vessels in your kidneys and it makes the heart work extremely hard. The damaged vessels cannot filter poisons from your blood as they are supposed to. My hypertension detox regulates blood pressure by increasing urine production and providing the body with solid amounts of potassium. Potassium is a key mineral and has been shown to lower blood pressure by controlling the amount of fluid being stored in the body. Bthoover.com

EP 6: The Plateau (I’ve Stopped Losing Weight)

11/1/2019
The problem with low calorie diets is that your metabolism slows down. You will lose weight in the beginning but you’ll hit a plateau. The slowing of your metabolism will make weight gain slow and steady over the next several months. This is called “adaptive thermogenesis” and is the reason why weight loss plateaus are so common. Not only does it make it hard to lose weight, it’s almost impossible to keep it off. (90% of people regain the weight they lost and often add more) ⭐️ Solution: Reset your calories with high calorie days. This is why I recommend cheat days. This is also why calorie cycling is important. Periodically, you should have days with a surplus of calories.

Ep 4: Wheat (Part 2)

10/29/2019
Whole wheat is not healthy because instead of growing naturally it is made by a wheat center in New Mexico. Years ago, wheat had 14 chromosomes, now it has 42. This makes it Genetically engineered. These altered genes can be from anything and they pass through the intestinal tract & into our blood. Bread, crackers, pasta, wheat, grains etc are all converted to sugar once digested. All sugar not used within 2 hours will be stored as fat. Example: If you eat popcorn at 2pm you have until roughly 4pm to burn it off or it will be converted to fat by the body.

Ep 3: Wheat is the cause of many diseases.

10/29/2019
Whole wheat is not healthy anymore because instead of growing naturally it is made by a wheat center in New Mexico. Years ago, wheat had 14 chromosomes, now it has 42. This makes it Genetically engineered. These altered genes can be from anything and they pass through the intestinal tract & into our blood. The wheat & bread we are eating now is not the same from hundreds of years ago; It was made in a factory by a geneticist named Norman Borlaug. It’s real name is “High yield semi- dwarf wheat plant” The wheat, corn, pasta and crackers we eat now are produced by the Wheat Improvement center in New Mexico. All of these foods effect your genetic code when eaten. Previously, wheat had 14 chromosomes. Now it has 42 chromosomes. This is bigger than weight loss. What do you think happens when you start changing chromosomes and genetic codes in your body?

Ep 2: Weight Loss Surgeries

10/27/2019
The gastric sleeve involves surgically removing 75% of the stomach, so that only a tiny pouch remains. This makes you eat significantly less. This surgery has a 77% success rate, but research is showing that patients regain much of their weight as time goes by. After 5 years only 56% are still at their ideal weight. Weight loss surgery doesn’t teach you healthier eating patterns & it can’t help you overcome sugar/carb addiction. Plus, it’s possible to eat a small volume of food and still be overweight. Studies also show, that in time, the stomach actually expands and can hold a larger amount of food. The weight gain comes so strong because during weight loss surgery the majority of the weight you lose is muscle. This causes the skin to become flabby and saggy. Which is why a lot of people who have weight loss surgery get another surgery to get rid of loose skin. Surgeries and being cut on is extremely taxing on the body.
