Emotions In The Body

12/8/2023
Although mainstream medicine largely denies the existence of emotional energy, nonetheless most of us have experienced this phenomena in the body personally, from the physical pain of a broken heart or having our words caught in our throat, or something similar. But what most of us don't realize is that the effects can be lasting. This energy can get stuck in the body and cause serious problems. We only need compare rising mental health issues to the similarly rising levels of chronic illness in Western countries to see this in effect. What can we do about this? Well, we can practice energy hygiene techniques, work with energy healers, and address our deeper issues. There are solutions. We're just not taught them in our society so we have to learn these practices in our adulthood, after we've already accumulated traumas and, most likely, a few chronic pains along the way. Which means some work is required to get yourself into balance in the first place. Learn about emotional energy, how it stores in the body, how that generates physical issues down the line, and what to do to begin your own process of healing, if you're already feeling those aches and pains, or the stresses of mental / emotional issues, like anxiety, paralyzing fear, lack of motivation, unshakeable grief or anger, and so on. We've all experienced emotional energy in the body, probably without recognizing it for what it is and how much damage it is doing. Now take charge of your health with a better understanding of the mind-body-spirit connection and how they work together to keep us alive and healthy. Thanks for listening! Cleansing The Spirit

11/3/2023
The world is just full of negative energy these days, toxins in our environment, ideological sectarianism, and a sensationalized 24/7 news cycle that pumps us full of fear and anxiety in near-constant assault on our psyches. Energetic cleansing and protection has never been more important at any point in our lifetimes. Just getting through the day without picking up someone else's bad vibes or the creeping dread of a nihilistic society is harder than ever before. Negative energy affects the body in many ways; including making us physically ill and robbing us of our good fortunes and the pleasantness of life. To combat the negative energetic influences so prevalent in our environment we're best served by a variety of effective magical countermeasures. Sadly, the western esoteric system of grimoires and celestial magic has not prioritized this essential branch of magical study and most Western magicians don't even have a regular cleansing practice. To fill in the gaps in the modern magical practice, I've tapped two different books about cleansing and protection from two different magical systems, Curanderismo and Hoodoo -plus my own training and experience as an energetic healer- to gain a broad sample of relevant practices in the greater Americas. Tune in to this episode for a deep dive into the many spells, rites, and traditions of Curanderismo and Hoodoo, comparing and contrasting these two excellent sources for inspiration on how to construct a regular energetic practice of our own. The Munay-Ki Rites

10/6/2023
The magical landscape is filled with pitfalls and distractions which lead to overinflated egos and self-aggrandizement and the initiations of various magical orders are rarely what they're cracked up to be. But it can be very difficult as a spiritual seeker to tell what's authentic and what's just performative until you're immersed in what could end up either a delusional waste of time -or a culturally appropriative mess. The Munay-Ki Rites are a glowing example of an authentic and effective initiatory experience which has the power to change your life but doesn't require you to adopt a new theosophy, take any awkward oaths, or join some stodgy, overly-politicized magical order. They're inspired by ancient Incan traditions, embodied in a modern-context in the Q'ero people of the Amazon, whose "paqos", or medicine men and women, have kept alive their cultural and magical heritage of sacred Earth stewardship through hundreds of years of colonial rule. The Q'ero did so by hiding themselves high in the Andes mountains and keeping a low profile until the 1950s when they emerged to fulfill a prophecy and announce the beginning of an age of realignment, called a Patchacuti, which we are all now living through. The last patchacuti occurred when the conquistadors came to the Americas and enslaved the indigenous people and this one will see those of us in the West awaken to our karmic debt and our cosmic responsibility to stewardship of the Earth. After their emergence various paqo elders began building bridges to the people of the West, through various neoshamanic spiritual leaders and personalities, such as Alberto Villoldo of The Four Winds Institute. The Munay-Ki rites are a byproduct of the collaboration of elder Don Manuel Quispe and Alberto; whom he took as a student and gave the traditional Q'ero initiations. They worked together to adapt these same initiations for a Western framework of mind; to build a bridge we can follow to activate our energetic bodies, enhance our natural healing abilities and extrasensory perception, deepen our faith and our connection with spirit, and to move back into right relationship with Mother Earth and our role in the cosmos. These initiations are available to anyone and designed, as a gift of reconciliation from the Q'ero to us, to help the lost people of the West find their way back to the embrace of a living universe that loves them and needs their collaboration. In this episode we take a deep dive into these rites: their history and origins, each of the 10 individual rites and their benefits, and how they work together as a whole to affect you in gradual, but astonishing, ways. The Enchanted Home

9/14/2023
The home is a very magical place and its energies attract all kinds of spirits (for good or ill) with all the many different aspects of life that take place in the home. The home is sacred, in that it makes you feel safe; your place of sanctuary. In an animist framework of mind, the home is also alive and aware, or at least the spirits that inhabit it are. And so the spirit of your home should be an ally and a guardian; and to have issues with this spirit is the last thing you want. It's easy to run afoul of the spirit world from our modern context, simply by deciding to put a structure in the wrong place, or failing to pay tribute to the land spirits. And while making amends is usually easy enough, correctly identifying and interpreting the problem is not -unless you've already established a relationship with your local spirits. These sorts of household magical traditions don't really exist in modern Western cultures anymore and so we're left to reconstruct our own practices from bits and pieces of ancient spells and practices. Fortunately for us, author and historian, Claude Lecouteux, has done a great deal of research on this subject and written a series of books; two of which inform this episode's exploration into household spirits: Demons and Spirits of the Land and Traditions Of Household Spirits: Ancestral Lore and Practice. In this episode we attempt to piece together an authentic, living practice around the appeasement and engagement of household spirits and discuss some of my own experiences (for better or worse) with spirits of place as we remodeled and sold our old house and moved to the Riviera Maya to build a homestead and spiritual healing center in the jungle. Mentioned In This Episode: Ep. 18: A Home For Spirits Ep. 14: Fern Gully Magic Lecouteux, Claude, "Demons and Spirits of the Land: Ancestral Lore and Practices," (2015) Inner Traditions Lecouteux, Claude, "Traditions of Household Spirits: Ancestral Lore and Practices," (2013) Inner Traditions Thanks for listening! Enter The Dragon: Aries & Libra

8/31/2023
All of astrology talks about fate and destiny but there are two characters in the story of the zodiac which rule matters of Fate more than the rest -and they're not even planets. Instead, the lunar nodes -North and South- are two points, or "nodes", on either side of the globe which represent the places where the Moon's orbit crosses the ecliptic. These two nodes are represented in astrology as a serpent, divided into two parts, which winds around the earth. The North Node, or Rahu, is this serpent's head, and is said to be hungry and obsessive and relate to fate and destiny. The South Node, or Ketu, is its tail, and is said to process karma and purge energy to maintain balance. The effect of these forces in the fate of the world, and in each of our lives, can be predicted thanks to astrology, and we can anticipate these changes and adapt accordingly. Nothing will prevent the nodes from working their (often unpleasant) magic on you but the transits of the lunar nodes, and the eclipses that come with them, map the phases and critical turning points of our lives so that we can navigate their powerful currents without being swept away. In July of 2023, the lunar nodes entered new signs: Aries and Libra (north and south, respectively). In this episode I take a deep dive into the new nodal axis: how it has manifested again and again in my own life, what this transit means for the world, and how it may feel for everyone else, according to their rising signs. Following the transits of the lunar nodes can help you understand where you're going, what you're running from, and how to balance those energies to make the most out of their evolutionary effects. Results Driven Magic

8/16/2023
Magic is all fun little experiments and spooky games until you really need it one day. It's good to have a devotional practice, and we should all say our prayers, but sometimes you gotta pull out the big guns and work some real Magic (with a capital 'M'). The ancient grimoires are full of magic for very practical concerns: love, money, sex, power, favor from kings, and so on. Our most ancient magic called upon the seasons and the spirits of animals so that we could feed ourselves and, eventually, grow wealthy. "Results driven magic" means magic that attempts to create specific, measurable changes that can be tracked and assessed after-the-fact, so that you can learn from your attempts and improve over time. Without some kind of a system for keeping track of your spells and rituals it's too easy to forget the work you've done or to look at the outcome through rose-tinted glasses. However, it's all good to say it and another thing to actually do it...which depends on how you personally structure your spells and rituals. In this episode I'm going to share some of the lessons I learned on my way to getting my magic work work consistently, tips on how to set up your spells and rituals to make them easier to evaluate, and when and how layer on additional magic to get the outcomes you want. Tune in for the 20th episode of The Postmugglism Podcast, a deep dive into the most practical of magical subjects: how to become more effective at driving results with magic. Thanks for listening! The Light Of Life

8/3/2023
We were worshipping the Sun long before we were building, taming, or conquering. Long before we knew anything else, we'd figured out that the Sun is divine, it is the source of all life on this planet, and a magical source of healing and renewal. Somehow along the way to modernity though, we've forgotten this simple truth, and now the Sun is feared and we're doing everything we can to disconnect from our greatest source of life and energy. The Sun has always been associated with health and healing and exposure to the Sun has been used for literally thousands of years to heal all kinds of injuries, illnesses, and disease. And lack of exposure to sunlight bears greater health risks than we have been led to believe. Living in modern, urban environments virtually guarantees that you are light-starved and vitamin D deficient; which greatly increases the chances you will suffer with preventable diseases. Seasonal respiratory diseases, seasonal affective disorder, and many other illnesses are directly tied to lack of exposure to natural light. In this episode I look back in history to understand how humanity has understood the Sun in the past, how humans from prehistory to relatively recent times have prioritized exposure to sunlight for boosting health and curing wounds and disease. I'll examine archetypal frameworks for understanding solar energy like mythology, astrology, and energetics. And I'll detail some of my favorite ways of working with the Sun magically and as an ally in healing. Click here for links to all the resources referenced in this episode! Thanks for listening! A Home For Spirits

7/19/2023
One of mankind's first relationships was with spirit, before negotiating the ancient relationship with dogs, cats, or even plants, we looked up to the heavens for guidance and buried our dead with great respect. Spirit has always been a part of human experience -until recently. The introduction of materialism and rationalism to the Western mind has replaced the ineffable world of spirit with hideously predictable machine logic and our experience of life has dulled as a result. Now with atheism on the rise, and spirit all but relegated to the asylum of history, there is little room for the numinous in our perception of reality, Yet, it is there all the same, and the old ways are still practiced in places where new legends are still being formed...it just isn't in the West. Those of us who feel like we lost something in the transition to modernity can still turn away from its dead, soulless world and return to the ancient practices that kept us in right relationship to spirit, place, and each other. This is exactly what my wife and I are trying to do as we build sanctuary on undeveloped jungle land in the Riviera Maya in Mexico. Before we bought our land, we bought dirt from a local crossroads and have spent the last 2+ years building a magical relationship with the spirits of the place where we want to live -and with good results! As we approach the start of our construction project, it's time to follow the local tradition of building an Alux (pronounced: AH-LOOSH) house for our land's guardian spirits before we begin on our own home. Join me on an exploration of spirit house traditions from around the world as I research and plan how to build a home for spirits on our land in the jungle. The Religion Of Science Pt. 2

7/5/2023
Where Part 1 of this series was dedicated to the replication crisis and the corruption of science for profit and power, Part 2 will explore how the true believers of a new religion have co-opted scientific and political institutions around the globe to force radical changes upon humanity and propel us towards a dark, dystopian future. This is a wild story that begins at the end, where we're living through this time of transition, showing the results of a half century's worth of work by globalists, Silicon Valley, central bankers, pharmaceutical companies, billionaires, science fiction writers, and radical futurists, among others. We'll walk through their clever grift to see, step by step, how science has been turned into religion and how the dogma of this new religion is being enforced on us through public policy and social convention. Then we flashback to the beginning of this emergent ideology and get to know the men and women who've built the demiurgic mind prison of progressive futurism, brick by brick, in the social consciousness. The religion of science weaponizes its dogma, as religions tend to do, to consolidate power, reinforce its ideology, and suppress dissent or conflicting evidence. A new breed of holy inquisition is on the horizon so it is essential that we recognize the difference between empirical science and imperial dogma; and see its hand at work in the world. Because with that understanding we can process what's happening to us with total clarity, discern truth from propaganda, and adapt our ways of being and knowing the world. And that's where we conclude Part 2 of The Religion Of Science; with my thoughts on how to navigate the dark and stormy waters ahead, how to choose a different path, and how to make choices when you're forced to question everything. The Religion Of Science Pt. 1

6/21/2023
A crisis has been brewing in the scientific community for years now that calls into question a great deal about what we believe about humanity, our future, and how we navigate uncertainty. There are many contributing factors, like scientific fraud, carelessness, ambition, and so on, but the bottom line is that a great deal of the experiments described in journal papers -these are the studies that define our current understanding of science- cannot be replicated. When we base medical treatments, or social policy, around science based on peer-reviewed studies, and then those studies turn out to be fabricated, or irreproducible, there is often a significant human cost to the error. Multiply this impact across every field of scientific inquiry and it is difficult to take materialist-rationalist worldview very seriously. There is nothing wrong with science but a lot wrong with how we go about doing science in the modern age, and it has been co-opted by the powers of hegemony to keep the rich wealthy and the powerful in power. But this is about more than just greed...it's about what dreams our worldviews allow to come into being. In this episode, part 1 of a 2-part series, I'll show exactly why science has failed us, how it all went wrong, who benefits, and where it's all going. The science of today isn't about discovering truth. It's about turning certain beliefs into facts to manipulate public consciousness. Science, like religion before it, has become the opiate of the masses. Click here for links to all the sources mentioned in this episode! Thanks for listening! Sanctuary In Paradise

6/7/2023
Continuing the theme from the last episode and catching everyone up on our progress on our grand adventure in the Yucatán jungle, this episode charts the course ahead of us. In Episode 14: Fern Gully Magic, I shared the story of how we came to be living and building a home and tropical homestead in the Mexican Caribbean. Now, dream with me a little as I share details of phase 2 of our journey, moving beyond simply being in paradise to what we'll actually be doing while we're here. Over the last 2 years while we've been living here in Mexico we've been working, gradually, towards acquiring land and preparing to build our home on it. So I'll share some updates on our progress and many exciting details about our construction project, our designs for the rest of the property, and our plans to turn our land into a center for spiritual healing and transformation. Take a walk with me through our future homestead, from floorplans to gardens to plant and animal allyship, living altars, spirit houses, bungalows, an orchard, and more. See the future through our eyes and celebrate our progress with us. And learn about how we came to find our purpose here, building a spiritual sanctuary in the jungle, with gentle nudges from spirit and lots of dreaming and brainstorming. How it's a little scary to know what's expected of us but also very exciting to finally have a clearer idea of what lies ahead. Finally, we'll discuss some of the magic that's gotten us here and how our approach to magic has shifted as we've honed our methods and focused our energies -and our practices- in new directions. Join me for a tale of two weirdos trying to create the better world that we know is possible, day by day, one step at a time -and with the spirits as our guide. Thanks for listening! Fern Gully Magic

5/24/2023
This is the story of how I discovered my purpose, and passion, and how my wife and I got started on our grand adventure to build sanctuary and a permaculture food forest in the tropical Riviera Maya in Mexico. From psychedelics and spirit communication to crossroads dirt and jungle spirits, it's a one-way trip into wild places that changed the course of our lives and the core of our spiritual praxis. It's a story filled with time loops, synchronicities, uncanny fortune, and experimental sorcery. In this episode I trace the threads of fate that wove together to make me who I am today; from the fairy magic of the movie Fern Gully planting seeds in my young mind, to a fated encounter at the ruins of the ancient Mayan city of Tulum, to a few years ago when I finally put all the pieces together with mushroom tea and gardening. I went looking for purpose and found that I had been feeling a call into the wild for decades -and not just anywhere- but the heavily damaged jungles along the Mexican Caribbean; victim to over a hundred years of destructive forestry and extractive farming practices brought on by colonialism. It was in this uniquely beautiful, but equally damaged, expanse of jungle that has not yet been converted into condos or commercial centers, that we've invested our savings and committed our future. We've partnered with its spirits and spend our days dreaming of ways to fulfill our ultimate goal: to create a living example of a regenerative homestead and food forest filled with all kinds of plant, animal, and insect species to showcase how biodiversity is the key to reclaiming damaged ecosystems and healing the earth. Get the inside story on our adventure: where we came from and where we're going -and the magic I've learned along the way- the earthly magic of spirits of place, or "dirt sorcery" as I call it. What it is, how it works, and what it's good for... This is a fun story for me to tell because it's mine -and it's not a dull one. So join me to explore fated journeys, the call of the wild, nature spirits, and experimental sorcery in episode 14 of the Postmugglism Podcast. Mentioned In This Episode: Soapbox, "Soapbox with Rev. Tending Your Dreams

4/19/2023
Something we don't discuss often in magical circles is how long it can take for your magic to work -and how important it is to continue your positive intentions while it does. Self-doubt, over-analysis, and obsession with results can counteract your magical workings, never giving them the time to come to fruition. In my own experience following my dreams -and spirit guides- moving my family from the US to Mexico to pursue a grand vision and a new purpose in the beautiful Riviera Maya, there have been ups and downs, good days and bad days, and the road has had many unexpected twists and turns. Our journey has been undeniably magical, and this helps to reinforce our confidence and our faith, but nevertheless, we're tested, we encounter roadblocks, and things do not always seem like they're moving in a positive direction. We've learned to expect sluggish progress and to appreciate the value of patience which, sometimes, is really the only way forward. Sometimes time is the most important factor in your dreams coming true and patience is the only way to get what you want. Small goals typically only require shifting reality in small ways to achieve. Big goals, your life's purpose, etc...these kind of ambitious plans require much larger reality shifts. These larger movements play out over longer spans of time and that's just something we have to anticipate when making big asks of the universe. It's essential to be able to wait patiently, in a state of positive anticipation -but without worrying about the details. And this isn't easy... In this episode I'm going to share stories from my experiences learning how to manage my expectations and to keep the faith while our passion project slogs through challenges, delays, and constant refinement. I'll also share with you the ideal framework of mind for manifesting your intentions, my most effective strategies for staying positive, and a variety of techniques to put it all into action. Dreaming big is hard work but making those dreams come true is more a test of endurance, focus, and willpower than effort. Getting that mix right takes some practice but you'll have plenty of time -believe me. Thanks for listening! Plotting By The Stars

4/12/2023
Since time immemorial, humanity has charted its path through the ages using the night sky as our guide. We sailed the seas, built temples aligned to the stars, and gave life to the constellations through our collective myths. The stars are guiding lights, speaking to us in stories, as peoples and nations, and as individuals as well. In ancient times, when we sailed the sea, we used the stars to find our way. And though we have GPS now for our physical travels, there is still no better guide through the unknown lands of the future than the zodiac and its astrology. Astrology tells us about the forces that will be active in a given moment, what is likely to succeed, and what is not -to the world as a whole, and also in our very personal lives. But astrology is complex and difficult to parse and everyone has different takes on what each new configuration of the heavens is going to bring us. So how do we use astrology, practically, to foretell and plan out our lives? The key is understanding not only where the planets are in the sky and how they relate to each other but also where they are in your natal (birth) chart and what that means to you as an individual. And, by using more advanced methods to see how your chart evolves throughout your life, and how your personal destiny and fate are inscribed in the motions of the luminaries, planets, and stars. In this episode, I'm going to share my personal approach to predictive astrology and how my wife and I have learned these techniques by navigating our own, rather adventurous, story of trading our old suburban life to follow our dreams to build sanctuary in the Yucatán jungle. We'll discuss basic predictive astrology; looking at the position of celestials in the sky vs in your birth chart to understand how to easily personalize astrology to see what it means for you. And we'll look at 3 advanced techniques that reveal how your personal astrology evolves over the course of your life. You don't have to be an astrologer to benefit from understanding how predictive astrology works. Tune in to learn how a few simple techniques can help you navigate life's challenges with grace and always keep the winds of fortune at your back. The Problem With Solutions

4/5/2023
Our modern age is filled with technological wonders from nuclear energy to 5G to blockchain and beyond. We can hack biology, modify the weather, and convert sunlight into electricity. Our technology allows us to dominate the world and, one day, we hope it will take us to conquer the stars. And yet, with each new technology we introduce, we find that their shining promise is dulled by myriad unintended consequences. All our solutions tend to cause new problems, forcing us to experiment with fraught new interventions with unpredictable outcomes. History, and particularly modern history, is filled with examples of technological achievements which were eventually realized to cause more problems than they solved: DDT, osteoporosis drugs, nuclear energy, agent orange, electroshock therapy, etc... I wonder which technology we'll realize is making things worse next? Maybe fluoride? 5G? Autonomous drones? Facial recognition software? AI? Humanity is very impressed with its problem-solving capabilities; after all the ability to fashion tools and process cognitive thought ahead of our actions is really what separates us from the rest of the beasts -at least, according to the mythology of our history and science. Yet when the "rubber meets the road" we actually have a terrible track record with technological solutions. Each new intervention seems to unintentionally upset some natural balance, creating more problems for us to solve. In this time of encroaching "poly-crisis" we're accelerating towards a confluence of critical failures in our technology in which we run out of resources, run low on energy, and succumb to the increasingly negative byproducts of our technological experimentation, like super bugs, endemic viruses, aggressive AIs, medically-induced injuries, and radioactive waste. When all our solutions just create more problems, isn't it time to pause and reflect on what we might be doing -and how the way we're thinking- is part of the problem? In this episode I take a hard look at the way our society solves problems (with technology), how technology fuels entropy, and explore alternative ways of thinking, knowing, and "living on a damaged planet". Hades In Aquarius Pt. 3

3/28/2023
The final installment of the three part series, “Hades in Aquarius,” digs into the darkest issues of the 20+ year transit of Pluto through Aquarius, how the state weaponizes our best intentions to turn us against each other, how they are seeking to control our bodies and minds, and how all of this technocracy in the West is just a desperate attempt to cling to power long enough to achieve their terrifying transhumanist ideals. If you haven't listened to the previous 2 episodes already, "Hades In Aquarius," and "Hades In Aquarius, Pt. 2", I highly recommend do you so before tuning in this episode. Pluto in Aquarius picks up the threads of its time in Capricorn; the wealth transfers, government lockdowns, bio-authoritarianism, and so on; and weaves them into the fabric of the digital realm with digital IDs, health passports, carbon tracking, social credit systems, and bio-data harvesting. The end goal is domination of the world, and eventually the cosmos, through scientific dominance and transhumanism -and along the way our would-be overlords plan to genetically-engineer us into a compliant workforce using the remarkable powers they’ve given themselves over the last few years while the general population has been distracted by culture wars and manufactured crisis. The way forward is not scientific dogma or political intolerance -the solution isn’t reductive, which is why our broken, mechanical, materialistic society can’t seem to find it. Surviving and thriving in this transformative time will require embracing life, nourishing spirit, and bringing people together -instead of driving them apart. But to do so means leaving the fold, opting out, and going your own way while mainstream society is doing its very best to box you in, limit your options, and enforce the will of the 1% upon you. And there’s not that much we can do about it, in a mundane sense. The old tools of dissent like protesting and journalism have been corrupted by the state and activism in general is endangered by the introduction of social credit systems and CBDCs. Censorship and propaganda are wielded with a strong hand and so freedom is very much up against the ropes. It’s time for a different approach -a new strategy. And it’s time to face the karmic lessons that all this technocracy represents. The West has abused science, technology, and economics for generations to establish and maintain dominance in the world; as this dominance crumbles we will be forced to reckon with the sins of our past. Belief in the natural world, and hope for ourselves, has to carry us through the next 20ish years of technocratic totalitarianism but the more we lean into life and out of the system, the more we will find new (and very old) ways of flourishing again. Tune for the big finish of this provocative and revealing exploration of one of the most impactful transits of the modern age -one we’re definitely going to feel in the West- and one that has the potential to chart the course of humanity’s evolution far into the future. Hide your kids, hide your wife, and put on your tinfoil hat for “Hades In Aquarius, Pt. 3”. Click here for links to everything mentioned in this episode! Thanks for listening! Hades In Aquarius Pt. 2

3/22/2023
Pluto was the god of the Underworld to the Romans (Hades to the Greeks) who kidnapped Persephone, the daughter of the lunar goddess of agriculture, Demeter, and made her Queen of the Underworld. This caused Demeter such grief that it drained the world of it's life force. This corruption of Persephone by the devious Pluto was upheld by Zeus, causing the suffering of the world to occur in cycles and seasons. This myth sets the stage for any ingress of Pluto; moving this corrupting energy into whatever areas of life indicated by the sign it occupies. Pluto's time in Capricorn, 2008-2023 marked a rise in the corruption of money, power, and so on in the physical realm while Pluto's ingress into Aquarius signals this energy moving into the realm of "air"; which is to say the digital realm. Rising digital tyranny will be the theme for this 20+ year transit, as well as the revealing of the corruption which enables it -through it's extremes and excess. This serves a greater cosmic purpose, but it's still going to suck for you and I. These next two decades will test our resolve, challenge our resilience, and assault our liberty. This is the second of 3-part series on what we can expect from Pluto's time in Aquarius; considering the state of the world and the nature of Pluto's qualities and myths. Listen to the first episode in this series before diving into this one: Ep. 8 Hades In Aquarius Pt. 1 In part 1 of this series I laid the foundation, detailing the significations of both Pluto and Aquarius, what they represent, etc., and talked about the recent explosion of surveillance, censorship, and propaganda that we're facing throughout the world, why it's happening, and what we can do to limit our exposure. In this episode I dive deep into the hidden machinations of the globalist cartel siphoning your wealth, the Western intelligence community eroding your freedoms, and the transhumanist tech bros that want to turn you into training data for their pet AIs, among other spooky tales of the age of technocracy signaled by Pluto's ingress into Aquarius. But I also provide thoughts on how to thrive in these troubled times, and how to avoid the worst of them by separating from mainstream, anti-life society, and building your own resilience, in spite of this technocratic timeline. Hades In Aquarius

3/15/2023
Pluto's move into Aquarius portends some very dark, and very revealing, years ahead, particularly as science and technology integrate more deeply with every aspect of our lives. The dwarf planet's strange elliptical orbit lasts 248 years and causes it to spend different amounts of time in each sign. It's been in Capricorn since the 2008 financial crisis and is moving out now during another financial crisis (among other things) and into Aquarius. Capricorn is an earth sign and signifies physical, material things, structure, order, and so on, and Aquarius is an air sign, which signifies cerebral things, ideas, plans, science, technology, and perhaps most importantly, the digital world. Pluto, on the other hand, is the name of the Roman god of the Underworld -whom the Greeks call Hades- and he rules the land of the dead obviously, but also that other meaning of the word "underworld" -crime; especially the organized kind. As Hades / Pluto moves into Aquarius, the dark, corrupt, and hidden parts of our science and technology will come to light and their rotten cores revealed. This is a necessary process the universe has to go through, occasionally digging up and revealing the dirty secrets which allow the powerful of the present day to subjugate the future of the world. Still, from our perspective, it's going to be a bit scary and unpleasant; particularly if you enjoy liberty and speaking your truth. But it's important to keep in mind that Pluto's always lurking somewhere in the sky -and can only be in one area of the chart a time. In this transit, Pluto occupies Aquarius for over 20 years, so there's no getting around it and no point in living in fear. You just need to understand what to expect from Pluto in Aquarius and how to navigate your way through the worst of it. In this first of a series of three episodes titled,"Hades In Aquarius," I'm going to introduce the idea and importance of Pluto's ingress in Aquarius in late March, 2023, and explain the bad -and the good- of what's to come, so that you can plan accordingly, make informed choices, and protect your family in the storms to come. Resurrection As Praxis

3/8/2023
Western culture is has unhealthy fear of, and obsession with, death. And it leads us to try to control the universe through man-made inventions like technology, policy, law, and so on, that can't help but fall short. When they do, it causes harm and suffering, among less privileged people and the natural world. But if we look at this behavior through "shaman eyes", it's obvious our attempts to dominate and control are just cries for help as our social unconscious attempts to process centuries of generational trauma. It comes from a materialist worldview; one where life is impossible and fleeting and terribly dangerous. This kind of fear-driven thinking leads us to mandate extreme anti-life measures in the name of collective safety and progress. In the last few years this fear was weaponized to create unprecedented compliance with obvious bio-tyranny, total surveillance, and ideological oppression. This demiurgic mind-virus, the Wetiko, takes root in our collective fear of mortality but we can inoculate ourselves against it by reconstructing ancient rites of renewal, trips through the Underworld, which refresh our life force and that of the Earth around us -and give us the authority to walk upon the Earth as gods. In this episode I make the case that the West's collective fear of death drives us to objectively insane extremes, attempting to control the world around us, and that this causes untold harm to ourselves, the Earth, and the cosmos. And I attempt to reconstruct ancient rites of renewal which allowed humanity to exist in prosperous equilibrium with the world for tens of thousands of years (and potentially much, much longer) through the magic of resurrection. Dusting off ancient wisdom like The Pyramid Texts, through the eyes of modern historians and occultists, like Dr. Jeremy Naydler and show favorite Gordon White, we'll examine the Egyptian myths of Osiris and his son Horus. And we'll explore parallels in South American cosmologies is search of the broader interpretations of these ideas -and inspiration for creating our own practical rituals. Ambassadors For Spirit

2/27/2023
We get into magic for all kinds of reasons: to experience the divine, to discover our fate, and to shift reality in our favor. And regardless of your point of origin into the world of magic and the so-called "occult", the magical path tends to lead you into the service of spirits in one way or another. We may be drawn here for personal power but what we find is collective purpose (with the more-than-human world). This path is not for everyone. Most people just want to live in the "mundane" world without being forced to constantly question reality -and their own sanity. But the magically-operant are a different breed and trading a small piece of our sanity to glimpse behind the curtain of reality is a fair trade. From time immemorial (since the way back when) a minority of dangerously curious humans have been called to learn the art and science of negotiating with spirit; and in so doing become magicians, or workers of magic. We magicians are the only humans with the requisite knowledge and experience to navigate the strange and murky waters of the imaginal / spiritual realms and return with something useful. This role, that of the wizard, sorcerer, witch, and shaman, has largely been forgotten by human society, much to our misfortune and the imbalance of the cosmos. As modern magical practitioners, we are mostly unaware of this responsibility, since society barely tolerates our high strangeness anyway. Yet, the fractured nature of reality these days is evidence of this very responsibility, neglected. From our untended dead to offended nature spirits, the people of the so-called "Western" nations have placed ourselves at odds with most of the more-than-human world; thinking ourselves the pinnacle of consciousness in the universe. And the result of our anthropocentrism has been to isolate ourselves from the rest of a benign and quintessentially helpful universe. Forgetting our place in the cosmos also means forgetting our unity with its community of beings, and this separation causes imbalance which manifests as a loss of coherence -as reality coming apart at the seams. To bring ourselves back into coherence we have to remember that we're connected to everything else, and enter into these relationships intentionally and with total reciprocity. But then, again, most humans don't "speak spirit" -most humans have no concept of how to engage with spirit effectively. In this episode I discuss the idea that magicians are "ambassadors for spirit" or intermediaries between flesh and spirit, carrying and translating messages to and from the spirit realm on behalf of the people who are otherwise incapable and, playing this role, we help bring humans and spirits into right relationship and to work out their differences positively.
