Episode 38: How to Build Your Email List and Why It's Important

4/2/2024
Why should you start to build up an email list? Well for one, we can’t rely on social media to reach our existing or potential collectors. The algorithm may not (and probably isn’t) sending your fans and collectors all of your posts with your important and up to date information that you share. If you have an email list, you own that list and can send emails whenever you want to your collectors and fans and with what ever sort of content you choose to send without having to worry about being censored. Listen to episode 38 for more on this important part of your art business including ideas for building your list. Listen and send us your comments or thoughts about today’s episode. We’d love to hear from you. Attention artists: Would you like to be among the first to be interviewed by us? Just email us at creativetypepodcast@gmail.com and we’ll send you the questions. If you have a photo of you in your creative space, send that too and we can use it for social media. When it’s your turn, Lori and Jaime will read the answers on the podcast and provide links in the show notes and all social media! Mentioned: FASO - Lori’s current preferred method of sending an email to her collectors Email Octopus - Jaime’s current preferred method of sending an email to her collectors — Usually, in each episode, we include bits of our personal lives into the discussion. Think of it as sitting with your two artist friends chatting about art, the art biz and life. Grab a cup of your favorite beverage and join us.
