“How to Break Up with Your Friends" and more with Erin Falconer

5/16/2023
Today we have a conversation with Erin Falconer, therapist and author of the book “How to Break Up with Your Friends”, discussing the importance of intentional friendship and how to navigate conflicts in these relationships. Erin explains her inspiration for writing her book, noting that while society is obsessed with tracking information, such as calorie intake, steps taken, there is no agreed-upon language or blueprint for navigating friendship. The lack of focus on intentional friendship can be attributed to the fact that traditional therapy only focuses on the individual, family therapy, and couples therapy, with no equivalent for friendship. Join me in this candid conversation and please, let me know your thoughts and personal experiences around this topic! Lessons from a 20 Year Old Friendship with My Best Friend, Danya

4/25/2023
This is a very special episode for me because I got to interview my best friend of 20 years… Danya. She’s a musical theater actress, corporate nine-to-five, girly, thats obsessed with home decor (just like me). As we enter our 30s, we're realizing that friendships shift and evolve in many different ways. At one point, we became codependent and decided to take a friend break. Now that we have more knowledge on boundaries, self-care, and choice, we have a whole new approach to our friendship and environment. Listen to the full episode and take this episode as a quick reminder to shoot your oldest friend a text telling them how much you appreciate them. It will go along way and can’t recommend it enough. On The Rocks: Season 1 Finale - Stepping into a Healthier Mind and Body

3/28/2023
You are listening to the final episode of the inaugural season of On The Rocks! Throughout the season, I was given the opportunity to have conversations with some beautiful people about sober curiosity, the rise of mocktail culture, relationships, and critical social thinking. While wrapping up this season we can leave with knowing one thing for sure — Stepping into a healthier mind and body requires awareness and courage. It involves stepping out of your comfort zone, and above all, it requires a whole lotta love for yourself to make the first step. I encourage anyone who is sober curious or thinking about their relationship with alcohol to understand why they are doing it, why alcohol is not serving them, and why they are choosing not to drink. This way, when those moments arise, you will be able to confidently say no, it's not for me, and understand the greater purpose. To wrap up, I want to thank my team and YOU ALL for listening to the entire first season of On The Rocks. I hope to see you soon in just a few weeks with the trailer for season 2!
