4/30/2024
Do you ever feel like learning to make peace with and trust your body is too much effort, and you can’t do it all yourself? Working towards building a better relationship with your body can be daunting when you feel like you have to take it on alone. Luckily, you don’t have to! In this episode, you’ll learn how much easier it is to trust your body when you let go of the control you think you have to cling so tightly to. In today’s episode, we’ll be taking a look at the third and final component of body trust. This last piece may feel unnatural at first, and like the opposite of everything the world tells us to do. But, when we lean into it and learn to understand the real purposes for it, learning to trust your body and the design the Lord has for it becomes so much easier. We’ll focus on why it's not sustainable to rely on your own strength, reveal some truth about the Lord’s character, and discover how you can turn over your goal of body trust to Him. In this last episode of the body trust framework series, you're going to… 👉 Identify the 3rd and final component needed in order to cultivate body trust. 🔎 Uncover a lie the world’s been telling you 🕊️ See what’s possible when you learn to let go of control Resources mentioned: >>> Download the FREE companion workbook to go along with this series HERE! 75. A Bad Date & An English Lesson - The Body Trust Framework (Part 3)

4/23/2024
Just knowing why and how to trust your body doesn’t solve everything when it comes to body trust. There’s a second component that’s 100% necessary but can seem tedious and frustrating at times. The easy thing to do when things get hard is to give up, and that’s the reason so many women never come to experience full body trust. But, we’re working to solve that problem in episode 75 so you can learn how to grow, even when things may be uncomfortable. In today’s episode, I’m discussing the 2nd component of developing body trust. We’ll focus on how this is really a process, and the importance of learning to lean on God throughout it. I’ll talk about accepting the discomfort, the power of giving yourself grace, and how to reframe your thoughts so that you can keep working towards trusting your body. In this week's episode, you're gonna learn… ❤️‍🩹 Why so many women give up on body trust too soon and how to stick with it 🌎 What the world says about the 2nd component of body trust and why we’ve got to tune it out 🤓 A nerdy, but impactful, language hack that can turn a frustrating situation into a massive potential for growth Resources mentioned: >>> Download the FREE companion workbook to go along with this series HERE! 4/16/2024
One of the biggest obstacles to letting go of dieting is learning to trust your body’s natural cues. For many women, the idea of letting go of a diet plan is scary because it means stepping away from a source of control and direction over what or when they eat. In today’s episode, we’re continuing our discussion of body trust. I know that cultivating body trust can help you improve your body image, but often it’s hard to lean into that trust. That’s why I’m breaking down exactly how to do it, but it’s up to you to take action on it for yourself. 64. Grieving the Loss of a Different Body Size? It's Gonna Be Ok. How to Grieve With Hope

2/13/2024
Grief is a hard thing to experience. And grieving the loss of a past version of yourself or your body size is a normal part of the healing process for most people. That’s why it’s so important to understand that grieving is okay and as Christians, it’s possible to grieve well. There’s a common misconception that Christians shouldn’t grieve, however this can lead to shame when it inevitably does occur. So, in this episode, we’ll address what scripture actually says about grief and learn how to do it biblically with hope. In today’s episode, we'll look at why grief isn't a bad thing, where we see it happening in the Bible, and the keys of honesty and communication as we grieve. I’ll show you key moments of grief from scripture to help you model the ways in which you can grieve more hopefully. AND, you’ll learn how the values of grace and hope shape our experience of grief as we set our eyes on Christ, rather than dwell on our questions. Topics discussed in this episode include: 🎢 The honest truth about the stages of grief 🕊️ The power of prayer 😌 Accepting grief and accepting grace 🏳️ Surrendering the question, “Why?” Resources mentioned: >>> If you’re looking for books on the topic of grief, check out Walking with God Through Pain and Suffering by Tim Keller, and A Grief Observed by C.S.
