What is Light Pollution?

10/2/2022
What did you think of this Episode? Text Us! Welcome to Light Pollution News! I'm your host, Bill McGeeney, and I hope to take you on a monthly journey around all of the topics involving, pertaining to, and affecting light pollution. Over the years, the term and connotation of light pollution has grown from little more than astronomical sky glow plight to a major ecological issue. Light pollution doesn't just pertain to the effects of unshielded nighttime lighting, the conversation increasingly involves light temperature and brightness levels as they impact the environment they're turned on in. It's been said that light pollution is the easiest of all the pollutions to correct, simply turn off a light. However simple in action that may be, psychologically, it appears to be a much stickier problem. Stay with us on this journey as we look at news stories and research each month in hopes of continuing and expanding the dialog around a form of pollution many of us unwittingly partake in. Support the Show. Like what we're doing? For the cost of coffee, you can become a Monthly Supporter? Your assistance will help cover server and production costs.
