#29 Girlean & Else Stun Glasgow While Leblond Delivers More Violence

4/22/2024
Cage Warriors returned to Scotland after 11 years away and put on a memorable show. Scottish fighters provided a mixed bag of results as super talent Dumitru Girlean silenced the crowd with a submission win over Chris Bungard. In the co-main event, UFC veteran Cameron Else edged past Reece McEwan on the scorecards. But it wasn't all doom & gloom for the Scots as mega prospect Sean Clancy Jr. won in emphatic fashion while Keir Harvie and Paull McBain dazzled. Podcast favourites Nicolas Leblond and Jan Quaeyhaegens won in typical violent fashion which put a big ol' smile on my face. All of this and SO much more! Tune in! #28 Jimbo Slices & Dices His Way to Gold, While Paul Hughes Bows Out In Fashion

4/8/2024
In the latest episode of the pod, I break down all of the fights that took place on Cage Warriors 170 in Dublin. Team Ryano stalwart James Sheehan (aka Jimbo Slice) outlasted and outgunned a very game opponent in Daniel Konrad to win Cage Warriors Welterweight gold. Paul Hughes served his final fight in Cage Warriors, winning via spectacular first-round finish. Will the UFC or PFLlator come knocking? Elsewhere on the card, mega prospects Ger Harris and Solomon Simon scored big submission wins. Eimar Darcy, Ciaran Brady and Jamie Abbott-Bissett made their pro debuts in stunning fashion, all winning via finish. A special mention to Rory Evans, podcast favourite, who upset the bookmakers & silenced the Dublin crowd with his tremendous win over Taka Mhandu. All of this and SO much more on the latest episode of the card. Twitter: @YellowGlovesPod Instagram: @YellowGlovesPod

#27 Buggy Chokes, Flying Knees & Pure Insanity

4/1/2024
In this episode of the pod, I break down every single fight on Cage Warriors 169. Jordan Vucenic extended his win streak and inched a step closer to the UFC with a big submission win over Simone D'Anna. In the battle of the mega prospects, Lone'er Kavanagh extended his unbeaten streak with a vicious decision win over Shawn Da Silva. Will Currie staked his claim for the next shot at Middleweight gold as he forced his opponent to quit in between rounds. Elsewhere on the card, Mitchell Goode scored the first ever buggy choke in Cage Warriors history and Mariusz Mikolajewski laid his opponent out to pasture with a perfectly timed flying knee. And if you want to watch *the* round of the year so far, treat yourself to Amir Malekpour and Tom Creasey's 3rd round. Prospects Tommy Brunning, Shaun Fraser, Jimmy Quinn & Jawany Scott also added wins to their respective records. Twitter: @YellowGlovesPod Instagram: @YellowGlovesPod

#26 2 Cards in 2 Nights, Mayhem in Manchester!

3/18/2024
In this bumper episode of the pod, I break down Cage Warriors 167 and Cage Warriors 168. Both cards took place across a two-day period, with 24 fights spread across. Most notably, Andy Clamp secured the Light Heavyweight title as an underdog after his dominant display against Matty Byfield. Liam Gittins defended his Bantamweight belt with a demolition of prospect Roberto Hernandez. Luke Riley did what he does best and put on another striking clinic to go 9-0 and cement himself as a legitimate title hopeful. Former 170lbs champion Stefano Paterno returned to the Yellow Gloves after 6 years away to secure a 1st-round submission win and remind everyone just how good he is. Elsewhere on both nights, mega prospects Anthony Orozco, Teddy Stringer, James Power, Omiel Brown & Shirzad Qadrian managed to notch up wins. I also wax lyrical about up-and-comer Francis Breen. All of the above and so much more! Twitter: @YellowGlovesPod Instagram: @YellowGlovesPod

#25 Old Man Strength

2/25/2024
In this episode, I break down Cage Warriors 166 which took place in San Diego and marked the promotion's first event of 2024. In the main event, Wilson Reis proved that he still has the goods at the age of 39 with a first-round submission. Mason Jones put yet another opponent to the sword while Chasen Blair scored another highlight reel finish. Devin Goodale beat prospect Bobby Winther from pillar to post... and we also had 3 heavyweight fights (BOO!) Twitter: @YellowGlovesPod Instagram: @YellowGlovesPod

#23 The Curtain Falls in San Diego

12/17/2023
In this episode of the podcast, I break down Cage Warriors' final card of 2023 which took place in San Diego. Top prospect Roberto Hernandez extended his win streak to 9 after he comfortably defeated UFC veteran Trevin Jones. In the co-main event, Ahmad Hassanzada tapped Chasen Blair with one of the nastiest kneebars you'll see all year. Elsewhere on the card, big prospects managed to extend their undefeated records in Anthony Orozco and Bobby Winther. We had a fun banger between Xavier Vines and Miguel Peimbert; meanwhile, two Indonesian starlets managed to find wins in their Cage Warriors debut. All of this and so much more is discussed! Enjoy! #22 Two New Champions Crowned in Newcastle

12/1/2023
On this episode of the Yellow Gloves Podcast, I break down the entire Cage Warriors 164 in Newcastle. We saw Liam Gittins and Dario Bellandi claim gold in the north of England with dominant performances over their opponents. Elsewhere on the card, Chris Bungard and Darren Stewart registered quick first-round finishes, while Milad Ahady won yet another fight. The prelims offered up one of the feelgood moments of the year when Kennedy Freeman, daughter of UK MMA legend Ian Freeman, knocked out her opponent in the first round after 5 years away from the fight game. #21 The Perfect Shot

11/12/2023
In this episode, I recap a fantastic night in London where Cage Warriors 163 went down. Giannis Bachar captured the vacant Welterweight belt with a shocking one-punch knockout of favourite Omiel Brown. Will Currie continues to win fights with yet another first-round finish in the co-main event. Elsewhere on the card, we had a banger between Shawn Da Silva and Gerardo Fanny, multiple big-name prospects adding more wins to their name in Luca Borando, Tariq Pell and Teddy Stringer... as well as many other fights and finishes. #20 Finishes, Finishes & More Finishes

10/29/2023
In this episode of the podcast, I break down what was an insanely violent Cage Warriors card in Rome. Cage Warriors 162 was headlined by a rematch between Dumitru Girlean and Simone Patrizi, a fight where Girlean would go on to win again. However, the headlines belonged to three men: Nicolas Leblond, Emanuele Tetti and Baris Adiguzel who produced three of the most brutal knockouts of 2023... all on the same night. In terms of sheer entertainment, this card goes down as one of the best that Cage Warriors have put on in 2023. Listen to me wax lyrical about it! #19 How Long Must Paul Hughes Wait?

10/15/2023
In this episode, I break down and react to this weekend's excellent Cage Warriors 161 card. Paul Hughes has stopped knocking on the door of the UFC and has, instead, started to fire missiles at the entire building. His 1st round KO lifted the roof off the RDS. Mason Jones continued his 2023 rampage with a stunning beatdown of Yann Liasse. Elsewhere on the card, Ieuan Davies stunned the home crowd with an outrageous triangle armbar and Paddy McCorry jumped gilly to great effect. #18 The Scouse Zombie

10/9/2023
In this episode, I sit down to (belatedly) recap Cage Warriors 160. A lot of things happened on this card, but none crazier than Luke Riley vs Alexander Loof. An all-time Cage Warriors classic. And Riley's had two of those this year. The Scouse Zombie does it again. Elsewhere on the card, James Hendin handily dominated Tobias Harila in the main event. Adam Cullen returned to the win column with a textbook 1st round decimation. Next Gen teammate Matt Bonner also returned to the win column and also did so with a submission in the first round. #17 Roberto Hernandez Wins Again & John De Jesus Continues to be Cool

9/11/2023
In this episode, I sit down to recap Cage Warriors 159 in San Diego. The main event between Wilson Reis and Trevin Jones left a lot to be desired but another excellent outing from Roberto Hernandez more than made up for things. Elsewhere on the card, John De Jesus' quirky striking earned him another win in the Yellow Gloves. Terrence Saeteurn is my new favourite fighter after he and David Lopez scrambled for close to 15 minutes at a very high level. Bobby Winther made his pro debut and won via KO - he's one to keep an eye on in the future. This and so much more on this episode of The Yellow Gloves! #16 Super Shaj Defends in Rome & Leon Hill Makes a Splash

8/1/2023
Shajidul Haque defended his Flyweight belt in enemy territory with a total boxing clinic against former Bantamweight champion Michele Martignoni. Dario Bellandi bested Naglis Kanisauskas across three hard fought rounds to cement his name in the title discussion at 185lbs. Mason Jones made his return to the Yellow Gloves with an absolute 1st round annihilation of Alexandre Ribeiro. Someone's 0 had to go as Michael Pagani and James Power left it all on the line in a back-and-forth scrap. Elsewhere on the card, Leon Hill decimated Dumitru Girlean in one round. He continues to look like one of the most exciting prospects on the entire roster. Emanuele Zaccaria choked out Sylwester Miller. Gianluca Scottoli and Sam Kelly went to war in a 15-minute slugfest - I disagreed with the scorecards but enjoyed the fight nonetheless. This and so much more is discussed on this episode! #15 Mick Stanton Enacts His Revenge, Hardwick Dazzles & Brown Lands the Uppercut From Hell

7/23/2023
In this episode, I sit down to recap Cage Warriors 157 in London. On paper, it had a lot of promise. But on the night, it delivered something truly special. Mick Stanton looked dead to rights until a blitzing right-hand dropped Webb and forced the stoppage. Stanton avenged a big career loss and defended his Middleweight belt for the very first time. Jordan Vucenic and Morgan Charriere delivered one-sided beatdowns to their debuting opponents, with Vucenic proving once again that he's one of the best back-takers in the game. Elsewhere on the main card, Madars Fleminas laid claim to being one half of any future title match at Welterweight with a crushing victory over Skibinski. Luke Riley extended his undefeated record to 7-0 with a comfortable and impressive 15-minute outing. However, the real visceral highlights of the card sat with Harry Hardwick and Omiel Brown. Hardwick produced one of the most dazzling and picture-perfect back-takes to submit Vitor Estevam while Omiel Brown laid Jesse Urholin to pasture with an insane uppercut. Elsewhere on the card, Will Currie returned to winning ways, Taka Mhandu registered his first win in the yellow gloves, Angus Hewett and Connor Hayes went to war and Liam Gittins secured yet another finish at 145lbs. This and so much more is discussed on this episode! Twitter: @YellowGlovesPod Instagram: @YellowGlovesPod

#14 The CW157 Preview Show & Rhys McKee Returns to the UFC

7/17/2023
In this episode, I sit down to talk about Rhys McKee getting his second crack at the UFC and preview the entire Cage Warriors 157 card from top to bottom. Mick Stanton x James Webb II is a UK MMA delight between two absolute veterans of the sport - and there's a shiny, sparkling belt on the line. Jordan Vucenic and Morgan Charriere are also in action, although sadly not against one another, while mega prospect Luke Riley is also set for battle on this card. Skibinski x Fleminas rounds off the main card in a fight that has all the makings of a classic stand-and-bang affair. On the prelims, Will Currie makes his return after losing to Stanton in their epic title match earlier on in the year. Harry Hardwick, brother of George Hardwick, looks to impress the UFC scouts that will likely be in attendance. Amateur starlet Connor Hayes makes his pro debut while Ander Sanchez returns after a wicked heel-hook submission a few months back. Plus a tonne of other fights! #13 Stewart Outguns Bonner, Quinn Scores Fastest CW Knockout & Eglin Makes an Incredible Comeback

7/6/2023
In the latest episode, I recap the Cage Warriors 156 card in Wales. Emphasis is placed on Darren Stewart's decision victory over Matt Bonner, which certainly puts him right up there in the title picture. Elsewhere on the card, Jimmy Quinn smashes the record for the fastest knockout in Cage Warriors history with his faceplant KO over Dan Kneil. Reece McEwan adds yet another submission win to his record. Jack Eglin looks pretty much down and out until he finds a second wind and produces a sensational comeback win over Rory Evans. Meanwhile, Stephanie Evans chokes out her opponent in the very last second of the first round & Scott Pedersen goes full BJ Penn with his rear-naked choke finish. And a hell of lot more! #12 CW 155 Recap & George Hardwick Gets Called up to... DWCS?!

6/9/2023
In the latest episode of the podcast, I do a thorough recap of the Cage Warriors 155 card in San Diego... but not before I get my chance to go full "scorched earth" on the UFC after the announcement that George Hardwick had been called up to Dana White's Contender Series. On the Cage Warriors 155 card, stars were born in Anthony Orozco and Teddy Stringer. Meanwhile, we had a back-and-forth banger between Juan De Jesus and Damon Wilson, as well as a Comeback of the Year contender from David Lopez. All of this and more! Tap in! #11 All Hail The Don!

5/8/2023
In the latest episode of the Yellow Gloves Podcast, I take a deep dive through the Cage Warriors 154 card in Rome. Caolan Loughran scored a devastating knockout over Dylan Hazan to secure the Bantamweight belt and improve to 8-0. Darren Stewart notched up another win as he starts to build a path toward the Middleweight belt, while Giannis Bachar and Carlo Pedersoli Jr went to war in one of the best Cage Warriors fights of 2023. Sam Creasey also returned from his knockout loss to Shajidul Haque with a comfortable decision victory. Elsewhere on the card, a few Italian prospects shone. I was particularly impressed by Dario Bellandi, Luca Borrando and Jasmine Favero. It didn't quite have the buzz of the Dublin card from last week but Cage Warriors 154 delivered some memorable moments either way. Twitter: @YellowGlovesPod Instagram: @YellowGlovesPod

#10 McKee Shines, Judo Jim Retires & McCorry Scores a KOTY Contender!

5/3/2023
In this episode of the pod, I recap an incredibly emotional night in Dublin as UK MMA legend 'Judo' Jim Wallhead decided to hang up the gloves after a title fight loss against Rhys McKee. McKee turned in a career-best performance which brought out a TKO stoppage in between rounds heading into the 5th. Elsewhere on the card, Tobias Harila and Morgan Charriere snatched victory from the jaws of defeat with stunning comeback finishes. Oban Elliot staked his claim for the 170lbs belt with a decisive victory over James Sheehan. Paddy McCorry turned in one of the knockouts of the year with a beautifully timed flying knee while prospects Solomon Simon and Alexander O'Sullivan also managed to find victories. In a Cage Warriors first, Nicolas Leblond produced a bulldog choke submission over Ryan Curtis. Flyweights rule! All of this and SO! MUCH! MORE! Twitter: @YellowGlovesPod Instagram: @YellowGlovesPod
