Rasmus Højlund

3/31/2023
Hello and welcome back to Dougie Critchley Player Profiles. On this week's episode I take a look at Atalanta's Rasmus Hojlund, who has emerged as one of Serie A's most promising young talents. A wonderkid who has burst onto the scene this season after being signed from Austrian side Sturm Graz, Hojlund has impressed with his physicality, speed and composure in the box. With a host of top clubs interested including his boyhood team Man United I wouldn't be surprised if the young Dane, who excelled for his nation during the recent international break, was snapped up this summer. Although with 4 years remaining on his contract and two ageing strikers on their books, Atalanta have no need to sell. Watching this one develop is going to be absolutely fascinating. Enjoy the episode? Why don't you give it 5 stars and leave it a review! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Nico Williams

3/23/2023
Hello and welcome back to Dougie Critchley Player Profiles. On this week's episode I take a look at Athletic Club's Nico Williams, who has emerged as one of Spain's most promising young talents. The younger brother of stalwart Inaki, Nico has established himself as a key player under the returning Ernesto Valverde this season, with no Athletic Club player topping his 8 League goals and assists. Super quick and with the ability to play off both flanks, it's no surprise that former Spain coach Luis Enrique utilised him at the World Cup and that teams including Arsenal and Liverpool are now chasing him. Would he suit Arteta's side though? Listen to find out... enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Kouadio Koné

3/17/2023
Welcome to the third episode of "Dougie Critchley Player Profiles." On today's episode I'll be analysing the strengths and weaknesses of Borussia Mönchengladbach's Kouadio Kone. Still relatively inexperienced when Gladbach signed him in 2021, with only 13 Ligue 1 appearances to his name, Kone has made the adaption to the Bundesliga look like a walk in the park, missing 3 games, all through suspension since his League debut. 6ft 1, strong, with an excellent ability to manipulate the ball and his frame around oncoming defenders, Kone's dribbling ability is basically a cheat code, with his 43 completed take ons in 22/23, just 3 fewer than Bukayo Saka has managed in the Premier League. With PSG, Chelsea and Liverpool reportedly interested, Kone will almost definitely follow his teammates Thuram and Bensebaini out the door this summer. What would he bring to the table? Listen to find out... enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Moussa Diaby

3/9/2023
Welcome to the second episode of "Dougie Critchley Player Profiles." On today's episode I'll be analysing the strengths and weaknesses of Bayer Leverkusen's Moussa Diaby. An explosive, agile winger who has shown a calmness in front of goal that belies his young age, Die Werkself's Diaby is one of the most exciting young wingers in Europe. After coming through the ranks at PSG, Diaby took the chance to join an upwardly mobile Leverkusen project. Though there have been a few bumps in the road in the last 8 months, due to some of his teammates getting injured and/or losing form, Diaby's consistently excellent output has put him on the radar of clubs including Newcastle and Arsenal. Would he suit these sides though? Listen to find out... enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Teun Koopmeiners

3/4/2023
Welcome to the first episode of "Dougie Critchley Player Profiles," on today's episode I'll be analysing the strengths and weaknesses of Atalanta's Teun Koopmeiners. After initially emerging at AZ Alkmaar, Koopmeiners' 12m euro move to Atalanta has thrust him further into the spotlight and he's currently being linked with Liverpool and Juventus. Quality, versatility and an excellent injury record... I think he'd be a coup for any club looking for midfield reinforcements this summer. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast.
