Background music composed for Klout Court, a stream where people can call in with their case and viewers can cast guilty/not guilty votes, with a jury of 5 people providing their thoughts on the cases. Styled after a combination of courtroom TV shows and computer games.

Happy music for when the outcome of a Klout Court case brings about positive change.

This started out as a character theme for a computer game idea I had a few years ago. The chord sequence is similar to that of "Again the Sun Shall Rise", which would've been for a particular scenario involving this character. Created in Reason.

Based on a piece of music I created quite a long time ago.

A soundtrack-like piece of music with a mixture of different moods throughout. There are a few melodies but mostly it is background / mood-setting. Originally intended to be some kind of soundtrack where different layers could be added/taken away and different parts looped to give some variety, but it eventually evolved into this.

Both parts of "Untravelled Paths" joined together. This is how I originally arranged it, but the two parts are very different from each other so I separated them later.

A calm, gentle piece based on a melody from a previous one ("Into the Core") but using a different chord sequence. Designed to be background music for some kind of computer game, not to accompany any particular event but to give some mood/atmosphere.

A fairly uneasy/daunting piece of music which gets more pleasant toward the end. I think it gives a feeling of uncertainly followed by reassurance. Composed toward the end of 2017 but I couldn't think of an appropriate name for it at the time. I have a few other pieces inspired by this which I'm still developing.

Made this little piece of music back in 2013. It was originally meant to be just a music-box version of my older piece "Home in the Sky" but it was around Halloween time and there were some films on TV at the time which probably influenced the way this developed! Composed using my own MIDI tracker (Midget 3) using SoundFonts.

Here's a remastered version of "The Long Journey Home", which was originally released around 15 years ago. As the title suggests, the inspiration for it was the return home from long journeys away. This is something I often find has an odd feeling to it - a mixture of different moods and thoughts occur along the journey. It's a fairly long piece, at 10 minutes in length (the download is pretty big!) The original composition was created using Midget 3. I had little control over the subtleties of the sounds which had resulted in an imbalanced mix. I spent a few days remastering the whole thing in Reason, using most of the original sounds and making adjustments to improve the clarity. It's slightly faster than the original version as well. Dedicated to my friend Tom Byrne (as this is a favourite of his, it encouraged me to create this remastered version!)

Updated October 2017 with some adjustments to the sound quality of the celesta (thanks to John Yentes for suggestions about this).

Partly inspired by "Icarus" from the Deus Ex - Human Revolution soundtrack. A slow, melancholic variation of another piece I'm working on.

Inspired by hacking computer code: A couple of years ago I had a fun task of injecting some computer code into another program in order to extract information from it whilst it was running. I found it quite fascinating. I started making this track when I was putting together a drum loop for another piece of music I was working on. In the end I used the drum loop for this instead and incorporated some of the more unusual sounds in my collection.
