Swaddle yourself as best you can, And let the nightā€™s comfort begin. PAUSEā€¦ When was the last time you felt secure, Completely safe, warm, and content? Itā€™s odd that we think we outgrow those things, That we no longer need what they represent. PAUSEā€¦ At our core, weā€™ll always be children, No matter what age we reach. Even if we become parents as well, We continue to learn what we teach. PAUSEā€¦ The lessons donā€™t always come equally, And some you might never learn at all. But others affect your very survival, Protecting you from a fall. PAUSEā€¦ First, you deserve to know youā€™re loved, To know youā€™re worth the effort. And even if youā€™re the one caring for you, Itā€™s okay to tend to what hurts. PAUSEā€¦ Itā€™s also okay to speak your mind, To get your struggles off your chest. To sleep a calm and restful sleep, Unencumbered by lifeā€™s distress. PAUSEā€¦ You deserve to feel like you matter. You deserve the chance to thrive. You deserve to know anythingā€™s possible, And you deserve to keep hope alive. PAUSEā€¦ Perhaps you have someone to tell you these things, A partner, a sibling, a friend. But even if your life has vacancies, You have a life-force on which to depend. PAUSEā€¦ If you let it, your spirit will care for you, Reminding you what you once knew. Your essence is there to guide you back home, And to point out what will always be true. PAUSEā€¦ Your spirit is what keeps you safe, Planting signs along the way. It becomes your lifelong nurturer, If you listen to what it has to say. Take a breath and hear that voice, the quiet truth within. Breathe out and feel the peace it brings, let it soothe your mind to sleep. LONG PAUSEā€¦ Think about how, so long ago, Loving arms might have carried you to bed. They gently lowered you, then tucked you in, Pressing a sweet kiss to your head. PAUSEā€¦ Dig deep to remember that feeling, That perfect, carefree moment. Practice conjuring it up, every night, Pull that safe feeling back into your present. PAUSEā€¦ Think about other special acts, Rituals of younger days. The perfect pjs, a favorite story, Little jokes and loving displays. PAUSEā€¦ Picture the grown-up version of these, Both playful acts and those of self-care. Imagine each evening unfolding that way, Loving habits your young self can share. PAUSEā€¦ Itā€™s not silly to want to end the day well, Not childish or selfish or strange. Learning to tuck yourself in for the night, Can only reflect positive change. PAUSEā€¦ Perhaps youā€™ll start to sleep like a baby. Maybe youā€™ll wake up with a smile. Maybe youā€™ll start to look forward to bedtime, To the chance to unplug for a while. PAUSEā€¦ By now, you know what a challenge it is, To live life as a full-fledged adult. Maybe the reason we all struggle so much, Is our refusal to admit we need help. PAUSEā€¦ You might not need the predictable type, More like a boost for the soul. And if childhood routines can help you find joy, Then they certainly have their role. PAUSEā€¦ Let your mind wander through your past, Allow it to slip back in time. For a few sweet and lovely minutes, Let those memories shine. Breathe in as you picture a littler you, capture that hopeful delight. Breathe out as you search for hints of that child, hold onto them once theyā€™re in sight. Prepare yourself to go within, Make renewal your goal. PAUSEā€¦ Think about the way you speak to yourself, The language you hear in your head. The words are likely different than those you select, When talking to others instead. PAUSEā€¦ In life, we talk about love languages, Meaning the way othersā€™ gestures impact us. But in a very real way, the words we use, Create a pattern to which we adjust. PAUSEā€¦ If you tend to speak kindly, both inside and out, Then your love language is already in place. But if youā€™re snappish and dismissive, to yourself if not others, Then itā€™s time for a change of pace. PAUSEā€¦ Think of the words you use most of all, Then think about how they make you feel. Though a harsh word here or there can be harmless, A pattern makes the pain real. PAUSEā€¦ Itā€™s no secret weā€™re usually hard on ourselves, And there are times to be held to account. Tough mental love isnā€™t the answer though, Especially in generous amounts. PAUSEā€¦ Imagine having a secret code, A list of words that buoy your spirit. Using them often might change everything, Making your self-love transparent. PAUSEā€¦ Maybe it helps to be reassured that youā€™re safe. Or that your intentions matter most of all. Perhaps you need to hear that your dreams have value, And youā€™re worth loving just as you are. PAUSEā€¦ Whatever the message, if it makes you okay, Practice saying what you need to hear. The world may agree, or the world may not, But it doesnā€™t matter if your own belief is sincere. Take a deep breath and make yourself a promise, vow to be an encouraging voice. Release that breath and feel the weight of that gift, the gift of compassionate choice. LONG PAUSEā€¦ Words are not just pebbles to toss around. Theyā€™re not just vague placeholders. The way you speak to yourself matters a lot, Turning small stones into great boulders. PAUSEā€¦ By contrast, if you begin to cast sunshine, Instead of repeatedly throwing shade, The light you shine on a wounded soul, Can make that grave pain fade. PAUSEā€¦ Once youā€™ve mastered being kind to yourself, You can change things for others as well. The words you send out into the world, Can bring the troubled out of their shell. PAUSEā€¦ Just as your own self-talk makes you feel seen, Like your presence is both required and enjoyed, The gentle and caring things you say, Can pull others back from the void. PAUSEā€¦ Though we often hear mixed messages, Hear that love is what you do, not what you say, If you align those goals and speak tenderly, Your words make everything okay. Itā€™s time to let your body rest, And tend to your weary mind. PAUSEā€¦ Youā€™ve done a lot of work today, Both mental and physical. Youā€™ve earned some relaxation time, A chance to unplug and recharge. PAUSEā€¦ Use this time to slow everything down, Your thoughts, your pulse, your cares. Thereā€™s nothing more important right now, Than finding the respite you need. PAUSEā€¦ So often, our days spool out of control, Tossing dozens of problems our way. The night is meant to reverse all of that, To give us some space to breathe. PAUSEā€¦ Our breath is an effective place to begin, For it affects all the rest. With eyes closed, inhale gently and with purpose, Let the moment grow and stretch. PAUSEā€¦ When youā€™re ready to let that breath go, Slowly exhale and feel the release. Notice how your muscles follow that lead, Softening and settling in for the night. PAUSEā€¦ You nestled in the safest possible place, One that belongs to you alone. Full of familiar scents and downy fabrics, Comfort is the only goal. Take a moment to enjoy the calm youā€™ve created, remind yourself how much you deserve it. Revel in the weightless feel of your body, in the serene openness of your mind. LONG PAUSEā€¦ Now that youā€™ve cleared out troubling thoughts, Do your best to keep it that way. Imagine an impenetrable boundary, A wall to separate you from the day. PAUSEā€¦ Itā€™s so important to your wellbeing That you regularly disengage. Each day is so full and chaotic, Leaving little time to focus on you. PAUSEā€¦ But if you create a ritual, A predictable, enriching routine. Your days will feel less frantic as well, And youā€™ll look forward to powering down. PAUSEā€¦ Focus your attention on your quiet mind, Enjoy the tranquility you find there. Let the stillness lift you up, Let it take you to a higher place. PAUSEā€¦ In this place, anything is possible. In this place, all of your plans make sense. In this place, you become your very best self, As you work to plant the seeds of change. PAUSEā€¦ Instead of thinking, feel your way through, Determine whatever you wish for yourself. Detach from whatever your brain might say, And be mindful of your heart instead. PAUSEā€¦ Like your soul, your heart wonā€™t fail you, As long as you pay attention. LONG PAUSE Then breathe, just take in slow, deliberate deep breathes that cleanse you. LONG PAUSE And with each cleansing breath, allow the air to spread through your body, relaxing and focusing your attention on you. LONG PAUSE While continuing to relax, give yourself permission to let beautiful, magical dreams come to you. LONG PAUSE Now, imagine your room with the blinds or drapes closed, and with a little pinpoint of light peeking through. PAUSE The light fascinates you, so you go to the window to explore it. PAUSE As you open the blinds, imagine being gently swept into a dream where you stand above a mountain landscape. PAUSE The mountain is laced with emerald green terraces, cut into the mountainside. They look like wide, green steps in a staircase. PAUSE Gently, you descend on one of the terraces and realize youā€™ve landed in a rice paddy at harvest time. PAUSE Rice grows on each terrace, and men and women with bronze skin, wide-brimmed straw hats and focused expressions harvest the rice. PAUSE The men and women speak In a language like music that you just naturally understand. PAUSE As you draw closer, a woman looks up at you and bids you to come watch her as she works. PAUSE You comfortably bend over and observe how she harvests the rice with intention. Her curved knife smoothly glides through the plant as it separates the golden grains from the main stalk. PAUSE You run your fingers over the stalks and are surprised by the coarseness of the grain. PAUSE The woman then takes you to large flat rock with tubes of bamboo fastened on top; she hands you some stalks of rice. PAUSE Together, you thresh the rice stalks against the bamboo and watch as the rice grains separate and sprinkle like a shower of golden rain. PAUSE The woman gathers up the grains in a basket, and turns to look at you. The soft expression and hint of sadness in her eyes tell you itā€™s time for you to go. PAUSE You fold your hands, bow and thank the woman before being magically transported back to your room. PAUSE You pause and take a breath, making way for the next dream. PAUSE Again, a tiny light creeps through the blinds, calling you to come see the wonders behind it. PAUSE As youā€™re pulled into the dream, you find yourself in a lush, tropical world with a majestic volcano in the distance. PAUSE You marvel at the volcano as it spews a small amount of steam like a locomotive coming to a stop. PAUSE Then, a river of lava courses down the side of the mountain with mesmerizing hues of orange, red and yellow dancing as they descend. PAUSE The air hangs heavy with the smell of sulfur and salt while molten lava shimmers and glows, blazing a trail of change down the mountain. PAUSE While watching the distant volcano, nearby, you notice a man with wireframe glasses kneeling down and grasping a handful of black, moist dirt. PAUSE He lifts his glasses and inspects the dirt carefully, and as he does, a wave of understanding washes over you. The word chakra is a sanskrit word meaning ā€œwheelā€ or ā€œdiskā€. These energy centers are points of intersection where the mind and body meet. Each chakra holds vital information for well being and healing. When a chakra is blocked or closed it may cause physical, emotional or spiritual distress. LONG PAUSE Allow the stillness to slowly unfold as you become aware of your body. LONG PAUSE Take a deep breath and notice the peace and contentment that follows the stillness. LONG PAUSE As you continue to breath, observe an openness in your body, as if it feels almost weightless. LONG PAUSE Now, as you relax, notice a ball of golden light, brilliant, luminescent, taking shape just below your feet. PAUSE The ball glows and shimmers with a captivating amber light highlighted with hues of orange and red. PAUSE The ball seems to spin in space and to radiate rays of light as it turns, rays that burst forth like the sun. PAUSE The golden ball moves closer to your feet, enveloping them in a warm, healing light. PAUSE And the ball spins and emits tendrils of lightā€“ of pure healingā€“ that touch every part of your feet and ankles. PAUSE After a moment, your feet tingle, as the golden light circulates even more healing energy through them. PAUSE You draw in a deep breath, and allow the ball of light to drift to your calves, where its soothing warmth penetrates the muscles. PAUSE The comforting heat of the ball rolls up to your knees and thighs, relaxing them. PAUSE The globe of light sinks into your upper legs healing and restoring at the cellular level. PAUSE As you inhale again, the radiant globe spreads its aura around your hips and lower back. PAUSE You feel your hips release and your lower back ease, melting deeply into the cushiony softness of your bed. PAUSE You pause for a moment, letting the serene warmth flow through you, relaxing you fully and completely. PAUSE Then, the healing ball moves again, and as the warmth expands to your torso, your body feels soothed and calmed. PAUSE You breathe in again and exhale, while the healing orb stations at your back, generating waves of relaxing heat through your back and shoulders. PAUSE The sun-like sphere pauses at your heart chakra absorbing any emotional pain with every beat of your heart. PAUSE As the healing ball rotates its energy through your chest and upper back, thereā€™s a physical letting go of stressed muscles and strained memories. PAUSE The ball of energy rises to your neck and throat, softening the tension and freeing all the unspoken words your voice held back. PAUSE You pause again, basking in the warmth of the orb as it touches your face and head, warming your cheeks like the sun. PAUSE The healing ball gently exits through the top of your head and stops for just a minute above you. PAUSE Its heated spin slows, and the rays of light dim until the healing ball dissolves in the air. PAUSE And when itā€™s gone, you take a moment and indulge in the incredible relaxation, the incredible peace you feel throughout your body. PAUSE And after a moment, gratitude blossoms within youā€“ a deep appreciation for all the healing, and magic, of the radiant orbā€“ until its next visit. But that doesnā€™t change the hurt you feel, Or heal the wounds you donā€™t let show. PAUSEā€¦ If youā€™re closing your eyes on a painful day, Reeling from someoneā€™s thoughtless acts, You can find relief and heal your wounds, As you allow yourself to relax. PAUSEā€¦ The first step is to clear your mind, To soothe it into silence. Allow your body to unwind as well, Prepare yourself for your own guidance. PAUSEā€¦ For as much as othersā€™ actions can sting, And as much as you may long to sting back. You know thatā€™s not the answer, Nothing good comes from going on the attack. PAUSEā€¦ Instead, search your heart for forgiveness, And all the compassion you can muster. For those who lash out at others, Usually hide pain in their bluster. PAUSEā€¦ Take a breath and remember who YOU are, a kind spirit inside and out. Exhale that breathe and release your hurt, your pain, your doubt. LONG PAUSEā€¦ If we lose our anger along the way, If we lose our fear and worry, We end up stronger, better selves, And lifeā€™s lines become less blurry. PAUSEā€¦ We rarely know anotherā€™s truth, The reason one lashes out. And even if we learn the story, Itā€™s not ours to speak about. PAUSEā€¦ Instead, we must take what we see, And meld it with what we know. We make sense of pain from the inside out, Finding our reward in how much we grow. PAUSEā€¦ Inhale that sweet forgiveness, the mercy you show yourself and others. Exhale the comfort of your humanity, send it to your sisters and brothers. LONG PAUSEā€¦ Imagine the power of this small step, The transformation it might cause. Then imagine multitudes doing the same, The wave of energy that it draws. PAUSEā€¦ Our intentions can turn bad to good, Can turn suffering into peace. When we keep ourselves from striking back, Our vibration will increase. PAUSEā€¦ Though it may seem youā€™re often on your own, That fear is just a perception. In fact, youā€™re linked to everything, You belong without exception. PAUSEā€¦ To understand this bond is key, Knowledge that others can miss. But now that you know what you know, Thereā€™s nothing keeping you from bliss. PAUSEā€¦ Itā€™s no secret pain is a lesson, An arrow pointing to what we must face. And when others turn those arrows on you, The very best response is grace. PAUSEā€¦ In this way, you can teach them, As you teach yourself. Your gift to you is a gift to them, Even more powerful in its stealth. PAUSEā€¦ While thereā€™s no promise tomorrow will be easy, No assurance that others will be kind. Youā€™ll step into your day with new confidence, Knowing your energies are aligned. PAUSEā€¦ It matters less what comes at you, Than how you choose to react. So if you remember that love always wins, You can be mindful of your impact. But when time itself evaporates before your eyes, It feels impossible to slip away. PAUSEā€¦ Thereā€™s always something that needs doing, Always someone to make a request. You say yes, and yes, and yes some more, And then run out of time and space. PAUSEā€¦ You feel like a fool for agreeing, But youā€™d feel like a jerk for saying no. Thereā€™s no good approach to pleasing everyone, And the clock works against you at every turn. PAUSEā€¦ Donā€™t blame yourself for your kindness. Donā€™t beat yourself up for trying. You donā€™t need permission, itā€™s more like a decision, One that belongs to you alone. PAUSEā€¦ Itā€™s often difficult to claim what we own, Even when we desperately want to do so. We think we owe others more than ourselves, And we pay the price without question. PAUSEā€¦ In truth, your allegiance must be to you, For you are your greatest ally. When you need affirmation of your own importance, Your heart and soul will gladly comply. PAUSEā€¦ Though things get cloudy in the outside world, Making it tough to see whatā€™s real, The view is always crystal clear, When you peer out from deep within. PAUSEā€¦ So push that outer clock out of the way. Consult it only when you must. You donā€™t want waste even one soul minute, Giving power to an unnecessary device. Can you give yourself the time to look, To find the treasures where they hide? PAUSEā€¦ This type of digging is like no other, the discoveries shimmer like fire. Though the nuggets are smaller than the whole, Their value is so much higher. PAUSEā€¦ It might sound strange to see yourself As a hoard of wealth to be mined, But if you consider the value of a life, The price cannot be defined. PAUSEā€¦ The work is not for the faint of heart. The process asks a lot. We often toil for years and years, Digging where ā€˜xā€™ marks the spot. PAUSEā€¦ But you are worth the effort, And the gems you find a prize. Itā€™s hard to imagine avoiding the search, For a fortune of such size. PAUSEā€¦ Clear your mind and try to remember where you buried your riches. Steel yourself for the quest ahead, for the granting of your wishes. LONG PAUSEā€¦ You already have the tools you need, To find the jewels within. They may be rusty and awkward to wield, But trust your instincts will kick in. PAUSEā€¦ Who knows why we hide these gifts from ourselves. Who knows why we pretend weā€™re bereft. Who knows why we donā€™t see what we can do, Until there are so few options left. PAUSEā€¦ Though our struggles are not of our choosing, Their meanings are often our choice. We tell ourselves stories that just arenā€™t true, And never question the voice. PAUSEā€¦ Thatā€™s why the digging matters, Why we need to find the truth. Itā€™s not just about the life we live now, But the folly of our youth. PAUSEā€¦ Breathe in and imagine those veins of gold, running through your soul. Breathe out as you follow them where they lead, a joyful existence your goal. LONG PAUSEā€¦ How did they get there, you want to ask. What creates these precious streaks? The answer lies in our destiny, Our essence shapes what we seek. PAUSEā€¦ We all see value differently. We each choose what matters most. But the meaning running beneath those aims, Is what keeps us all afloat. PAUSEā€¦ Though we often lose our way, The guideposts are always there. They get buried beneath murky layers Like the gold we long to share. PAUSEā€¦ So think of the search as sacred work, A hunt for all weā€™ve buried. What if you saw your own riches, Glimmering in plain sight? PAUSEā€¦ And what if, instead of covering them up, You gathered your inner jewels? What if you built a glittering new path, And threw away all the rules? PAUSEā€¦ Inhale and push forward, inspired and free. Exhale and keep going, aware of all you can be. Each chakra holds vital information for well being and healing. When a chakra is blocked or closed it may cause physical, emotional or spiritual distress. As I guide you into this healing environment I will work on creating balance and support. To best experience this energy treatmentā€¦..lie down and be comfortable. To feel the internal knowingnessā€¦ā€¦.PAUSE Like an owl who sees in the darknessā€¦ā€¦you too will trust your visionā€¦your insightsā€¦. PAUSE Open your mind and look aboutā€¦ā€¦.receive and find clarityā€¦.LONG PAUSE What do you wish to see?....... What are you calling forth to your inner vision?....... What does this indigo light bring to you?........PAUSE You are feeling more and more connected to your higher self and inner knowingā€¦PAUSE Anything that is not serving you from a place of intuition is being washed awayā€¦ā€¦.
