Los Angeles-based artist Buck Ellison is known for exploring notions of privilege and whiteness through his photography. He speaks to Rebecca Siegel, director of Americas and content for Frieze Los Angeles, about how the city facilitates his work, as well as the effect of living in a seasonless climate dedicated to creating movies and selling dreams. He also shares some of his favourite place to dine and what’s on his reading list.

The independent curator and arts writer talks about the unique vibrancy of LA’s community spirit and how it nourishes the art scene there. With a passion for interdisciplinarity, she has written and spoken extensively on art in the African diaspora and feminism in the context of the city. She shares some of her favourite hang-out spots and the books she’s reading this summer, and reveals that friendship was the reason for her move to LA.
