This weeks podcast is a subject that affects so many people, we get emails and phone calls about this subject constantly. The subject is having a dog in your home that is hurting people and what do you do. We had a client who had a devastating situation occur that we discuss at length. It’s truly a huge subject and one that is hard to cover all the nuances in one podcast but we give it our best.

Tonight's podcast we welcome Liz Ross the rescues groomer and foster mom also known as Fake Mama. Liz is tons of fun and she shares with us her history starting out as a groomer and we touch on a few subjects about dogs that need to be groomed with hair cuts and what that means to you as a pet owner.

I dreaded this podcast but I knew it had to be done, I tried hard to keep it from being a cry fest and I think we did pretty good. Saying goodbye to Bea was very traumatic for me, the shock of it is what did me in, as I said before trying to find my rational mind in the midst of the crisis was very hard, thankfully I had Laura, Dr. Reno and the ER doctor all there to help lead me the right way. It wasn’t all tears we did laugh and enjoy our memories of the Queen, her huge personality and her years of running the yard at the ranch. She most certainly made an ever lasting imprint on so many of us. I will talk about it some more and we touched on it a bit in this podcast but we will be implementing a water fountain outside of the office at the ranch in honor of her, I will work to find someone who can make a concrete statue of the queen to sit next to it, I think she would like that to be forever known as the Queen of Lone Star Dog Ranch.

We tried to answer a few questions from the page and hit on dog food but also the twist of discussing how we all feed our dogs, the process, the decisions on who eats where, and why, who needs a crate, who doesn’t and why. We also discuss how to find a good brand of kibble if raw or fresh isn’t a good option for you.

This is the podcast to help our rescues find their forever homes. Periodically we like to sit down with all of us and talk about each dog in the rescue to give as many details as we can about them. It truly helps our listeners who are interested in adopting but need more info. Laura will ask any potential adopter to listen in and make sure they feel like the dog is a good fit for them and if not maybe a different dog would be.

This is just one of those good ol chitty chatty Sunday night podcasts where many things are discussed, sometimes it just naturally goes that way, and we enjoy them just as much as a serious conversation.

We recorded this podcast a few weeks ago, this would be the last podcast where the baby boy bears could fit on the table. We discuss the subject of microchips, I was a little astonished at how confusing this subject is for so many pet owners. The statistic I found was that 40% of dogs in the country that have microchips are in fact not registered which means they have a chip that will lead to nowhere because no info is attached to it. We try and clarify this subject for so many to help you understand how to make sure your dog not only has a chip but to make sure you get it properly registered to you. I’m going to include this link for all of you that fall into this category, your dog has a chip and you are unsure if it’s registered. First we apologize for the delay in this weeks podcast. Wes is feeling better and now has it finished. We spent the majority of this podcast discussing bad behavior in dogs and why it needs to be addressed sooner rather than later. Primarily we discuss Bibble and her vaccuum issues but it goes beyond that.

We’re back!!!!!! It was time to say goodbye to Ed, so we all reminisced on stories about this wild girl, believe me there are many. We also spent some time discussing this process of trying to tackle Pinkies mast cell tumor her face. We hope you will join us, its good to be back with all of you!!!!

Tonight we touch on many topics but primarily we discuss these little tiny Poodle pups staying with Jenn, this was recorded prior to Olivia passing away, it leads us into the topic of adopting dogs in need and what that entails from the standpoint of our hearts.

Lady Galloway comes again this week to soak up some more bear pups, we enjoy them on the table for however long that will last.😆 We discuss at length allergies in dogs, food allergies, testing, etc etc…

Tonights podcast we spend some time discussing littermate syndrome, with Travis getting two brother pups there is still some confusion on exactly what littermate syndrome means, why does it happen, what to look for, how to work on the issue if you have it. Littermate syndrome does not always happen with littermates, dogs don’t even have to be related, and they don’t even have to have lived together their whole life. We discuss all aspects to try and clarify the topic.
