This week we interview Jean Davison, director of Connections for Special Parents. This non-profit in Royston, Georgia is an incredible resource that supports parents in our community. We talk about the organization services and everything they do to serve this group of people that need and deserve our help.

In this episode we interview Dr. Michelle Cooke founder of Sol DPC in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a trail blazing Georgia Medicine Woman who coined the term 'medical translator'. She discusses how important that translation is for her patients and tells us her journey towards DPC. We also discuss the importance of communication, listening, and spending more time with the patient--all things we are able to do in DPC which lead to better health outcomes for our patients.

In this episode we interview the director of Hart Life Pregnancy Care Center in Hartwell, Georgia Tammy Frye. We review all of the services that Hart Life offers as well as delving deep into why this ministry matters and is making a huge impact on women's health in Northeast Georgia. Dr. Tara Merritt is a Georgia Medicine Woman located in Watkinsville, Georgia. She shares her experience in advocating for a close family member during a hospitalization and shares some helpful tips for family members. She is passionate about helping patients and families navigate our broken healthcare system, especially during times of health crisis in complicated inpatient hospitalizations. We also discuss the importance of integrating spiritual care and goals of care into health care decision making.

We interview the owners and operators of Clare De Lune Farm: Jennifer and Benjamen Garland. They grow hemp in Royston, Georgia. They are a husband and wife team who are nurses with masters training in medicinal cannibus. We discuss the evidence for using hemp pharmacologically and how to do it safely, the stigma related to medical cannabis, and the importance of the endocannabinoid system in regulating our overall wellness.
