I'm Gary Leland, I'm over 70, and I plan to be the first human to live to 200, in good health. The 200 Year Life Project is my public experiment, and this show documents every step. I smoked three packs a day for 20 years, drank heavily, topped 350 pounds and lived on five hours of sleep. Today I'm down to 184 pounds, sleep seven and a half hours, and I'm off my prescription medications. Now I'm testing what actually slows aging: supplements, bloodwork and biological age tests, full-body scans, exercise, sleep and daily protocols, with real numbers and honest results. I also sit down with the scientists, doctors and founders pushing longevity forward, including Aubrey de Grey, Dr. Michael Roizen, Dr. Bill Andrews and Liz Parrish of BioViva. Why 200? Researchers talk about longevity escape velocity: the point where medicine adds more than a year of healthy life for every year that passes. My job is to stay strong and sharp long enough to reach it. If a Boomer who wrecked his body can turn it around, so can you. My full protocol, supplements and biomarkers are public at GaryLeland.com.
