In our shortest episode yet, Faith bids fond farewell to our listeners as the KSL Popcorn Report podcast is going on hiatus (at least for now.)We've enjoyed the conversations and hope that you've enjoyed listening. We are hopeful that the podcast will resume in the future when we all get less busy and with a new Entertainment section editor since Faith is shifting roles at KSL.com.

Faith (the noobie) and Travis (the veteran) chat about the Sundance Film Festival that's now in full swing. They also chat about past local conventions (the Outdoor Retailer) and why it has since moved out of state and if that could happen to Sundance in the future. They also chat about the movies in theaters this week and past Sundance submission, "Brigbsy Bear."

Faith and Travis use the first episode of 2018 to reflect on the highs and lows of 2017's movies including what the best movies of the year were, celebrities we said goodbye to, and movies you should have watched that you probably didn't. The gang is back together to discuss arguably the year's biggest movie. Travis, Dave, John and Faith debate on whether "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is the best in the Star Wars series. Take note that there are lots of spoilers so don't listen until after you have watched the movie. They also chat about "The Shape of Water" and whether a lot of the recent indie films (here's looking at you, "Lady Bird") deserve their high ratings. Then, in continuing our KSL Movie Club theme for this month (movies that make us cold,) John busts out some pretty intense fan theories for "The Grey."

Faith and Travis chat about Quentin Tarantino signing on to make the latest Star Trek movie — which will reportedly be rated R. What would that even look like? They also talk about directors who have a streak of three successful movies in a row (it's harder to do than you might think!) And they finish up with this week's KSL Movie Club pick: "Winter's Bone."

Faith and Travis chat about some of the big news of the week including the trailer for "Avengers: Infinity War" (we really want to know why they turned Thanos pink?)Salt Lake City also gained the right as one of three cities to get the screening of "Psych" The Movie" so they chat about the "Psychos" in Utah. The duo also dive into if MoviePass is worth the $10 a month and some of the pros and cons of it. Then they finish up with this month's KSL Movie Club: movies that make us cold.

Faith and Dave talk about the latest DC movie, "Justice League." Is it OK for kids? How does it compare to the other DC offerings? Listen in to hear their take. They also chat about the rest of this month's KSL Movie Club picks: "The Founder," "Hundred-Foot Journey" and "Jiro Dreams of Sushi." Warning: Hearing about these foodie movies will make you hungry.

After a three month hiatus, we are back! Faith and Travis talk about the onslaught of sex assaults that are being brought to light in the entertainment industry. They also dive into the movies coming out this week (Daddy's Home 2 and Murder on the Orient Express.) Plus, listen to the end for some foodie movie recommendations to get you in the mood for Thanksgiving!
