Pam Hurles and the Camp Cattail Board are excited for the 19th Camp Cattail Outdoor Volunteer Jam this Saturday. Gates open at 4pm and music begins at 6pm. Admission is $5, children under 12 and persons with disabilities are admitted free. The Kenny Valentine Band gets the show started at 6pm followed by Big Jim and the Twins and Crossroad Station wraps up the night. Camp Cattail is located just west of Chillicothe at 322 Cattail Road.

Liberty Baptist Collecting for Flood Victims

Liberty Baptist Church Pastor Mike Montgomery says his congregation and two other churches are combining efforts to deliver relief to flood victims in Louisiana. Montgomery says his church along with a churhc in West Portsmouth and Jackson are collecting items to load for delivery this Friday. Liberty Baptist is located on Chillicothe's west side off Western Avenue. Collections are accepted Wednesday from 2p-4p and 6:30p-8:30p during Wednesday church service, then again 2p-4p Thursday....
