In the podcast studio deep inside the Franklin W. Dixon Memorial Library, Jeremy Hahn is recording the latest episode of his Dogboy Adventures fan podcast "Greetings from Colta City." He’s invited his theater buddy Clara Danvers on to dissect Dogboy's "subversive" violence, but he didn't plan for the chemistry crackling across the studio in his meticulous show doc. While Jeremy hides behind his fandom, Clara derails the recording with a plot twist he never saw coming. A romantic story about the roles we play to protect ourselves and the courage it takes to make a move. In the aftershow, creator Bill Meeks chats with Rebecca Johnson (voice of Clara Danvers, host of Supergirl Radio, and the voice of LeAnne Snyder on The Fakist) about their long history as creative collaborators, starting as rival Once Upon a Time podcasters before launching sister podcasts based on DC Comics TV properties. They look back on their history of "bringing the heat" to each other's projects, including the time Bill voiced the spectral Deadman for Rebecca’s Supergirl Radio holiday special. A celebration of the community hiding in the "clerical work" of fan podcasting and the joys of a creative partnership that spans a dozen projects and more than a decade. Once thought lost, the episode was recovered in a YouTube video featuring the full parade, an interview with Full House's Jodie Sweetin, and the only known recording of "Hot John Hates Holidays." In the aftershow, Bill Meeks reunites with Nathan Beatty, the original "voice of Colta City" who narrated the Dogboy audiobook series a decade ago. Episode 10, Chapter 10 – Hot John. Dogboy is captured. Osbert. Blaze takes the blame. “Erica felt a chill and decided it might be better to go ahead and cut her break short. She turned to head back in the side door and ran into a big block of a man. He looked like a prize fighter who’d lost one too many fights. Bald, muscular, and with a few important teeth missing.”

Episode 8, Chapter 8 –  Bronson finds a hideout. Cindy and Bronson return to school. Sister Francine. The good guys get cornered in the magic shop. “We no make excuse here. If you make mistake, you tell me and you learn. I teach you. You respect friend and job stay together. You no do this the whole thing fall apart, you betcha.”

Episode 8, Chapter 8 – Bronson gets a job. Cindy wakes up below City Hall. Andrus makes a speech to the guild. Cindy talks to her mom. Uncle Randolph does a mean thing. “We are the Guild of Thieves, and we exist to take back this world from the rich and the powerful. In ancient times kingdoms were run by kings and fought for by people like us. And what has changed? The rich are richer, the poor are poorer, and evil men live above while good men live below. But some men would like to take our destiny away from us. A boy dressed as a dog hurt one of us, and by hurting one of us he has hurt all of us.”

Episode 7, Chapter 7 -The Cowboy in the Parking Garage: A vision in the parking garage. The Cowboy. Bronson writes a letter. Blaze gets grilled. “Dogboy thought it might be best to startle Blaze before showing himself. If he just jumped out from under the car the guy would have a few seconds to get the jump on him. He pulled the flash papers and a lighter from his pocket. He reached out and slid a few pieces of the paper under Blaze’s boot.”

Episode 6, Chapter 6 – Problems and Bigger Ones: Bugs makes out with Skyler. Bronson apologizes to Mr. Horum. Cindy interviews Mayor Lane. Randolph gives Bronson an ultimatum. “What? Are you asking if I believe the ghost stories about a man organizing the small-timers? The Guild of Thieves? Absolutely not. The spike, and that’s all it is, the spike in crime in Colta City is easy to explain. Most importantly it was expected. Our fine Colta City PD are prepared to face this perfectly normal spike in activity. Most students start with ‘What does the mayor do?’ by the way. Good to see one of you who has an interest in current events.”

Episode 5, Chapter 5 – The Old Curiosity Shop: Mr. Horum makes a bad impression. Bronson stops a thief. Parkour 101. Uncle Randolph counts his money. Dogboy practices on the roof until the sun comes up. “No, sir. Fate isn’t our friend. Every once in a while it’ll give you something good. Dangle it like a master might dangle a string in front of his kitten. Then the master pulls the string away, puts in his pocket, and walks to the other room. All the kitten has left is the memory along with the sneaking suspicion that it’s all for somebody else’s amusement.”

Episode 4, Chapter 4 – Colta City Blues: Moving day. A meeting with Principal Kane. Cindy McNeil. Bronson helps in the AV room. “A few rules for getting along with me, Bronson. 1. I pretty much always know what I’m talking about. 2. I’m going to help you out because Big Bald Bob asked me too and I’m on his good side this week. Three—  And this is the most important one— don’t bug me. Ever. If I have the time to deal with you I’ll let you know. If I don’t let you know you don’t know me. We clear?”

Episode 3, Chapter 3 – One Face For Another: The funeral. The lawyer’s office. Uncle Randolph. A discovery in the attic. Bronson says goodbye to the Tillman kid. “‘Mr. Randolph Black, bereaved brother of the deceased at your service,’ he said, ‘Glad to know each and every one of you fine folks.’ He took his hat off then held it over his heart. ‘What a pleasure to know that my brother Duncan touched so many people in his too-short life.'”

Episode 2, Chapter 2 – Venture Beneath the Skies: Road trip. Into the woods. Bronson gets a key. A dog wakes Bronson up for a walk. “He’d close his eyes for ten seconds and see if he’d wake up. He closed them and opened them and he was still in the car. He tried again and nothing changed. He closed them again and decided to keep them closed as long as he could and maybe… just maybe… it might all fix itself.”
