Another week of the Omer Period. We discuss the attribute of Netzach, or endurance and perseverance during times of tribulation. We are advised to contemplate our goals and the challenges we face. Over the next few weeks we are taking what we call a "Journey Through the Omer," a series where we delve into the profound spiritual observance of the Counting of the Omer. Over the next seven weeks, we'll explore the rich tapestry of tradition and introspection that this period offers to all who observe it. The spring feasts, starting with Passover, represent a time of liberation and renewal. They remind us of the Exodus from Egypt, marking a shift from oppression to freedom, from winter to spring — a season of new beginnings and spiritual growth. As we proceed through the Counting of the Omer, we are not just counting days, but making each day count, with mindfulness and spiritual growth. The Counting of the Omer is a significant Judaic feast that spans 49 days, beginning on the second day of Passover and culminating in the joyous festival of Shavuot. This tradition, deeply rooted in the Torah, commands us to count each of these days as a way of refining our souls and preparing our hearts for receiving the Torah anew on Shavuot. Shavuot, which commemorates the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai, symbolizes the fulfillment of God's promises in Jesus Christ, who Christians believe embodies the living Torah, bringing the law to fruition through His teachings and sacrifice and our receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. During the next seven weeks, we reflect upon the ten Sefirot — which are the aspects of God's divine attributes. Particularly, we focus on seven of these attributes, each corresponding to a week of the Omer. These attributes include Chesed (Loving-kindness), Gevurah (Strength), Tiferet (Harmony), Netzach (Endurance), Hod (Humility), Yesod (Foundation), and Malchut (Sovereignty). Each week, we’ll dedicate our episode to one of these divine attributes, discussing its implications and how it influences our daily lives. Did God knit us in the womb as the scripture says, or is the idea of abortion provided for in the Law of Moses (Exodus) as others say.

According to modern thinkers and the current political climate, the idea of "wives submit to your husbands" is a patriarchal misuse of scripture to prevent women from becoming their best selves. FT7 examine the little known prophet, Jonah ben Amittai from Gath-Hepher (commonly known as Jonah and the Whale), and his obedience and disobedience to God where the former foretold of God's mercy to the northern kingdom of Israel and the former rejected God's mercy for Israel's enemy. Terrill quizzes each member on the history, science, and God's message to all who read the Book of Jonah. This story serves as an example to all that God says, "...thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak" (Jer 1:7 KJV), and it's usually only a matter of how we finally submit to the Lord. Paul encourages the church to remain steadfast in Christ and to not be captivated by worldly philosophy and empty deception. FT7 examines how this book is relevant today as 73% Americans report they no longer have faith in their country's future.
