HCRadio is a student run radio station based at Havering College. Students have the opportunity to explore a range of music-based programming, documentary, drama, and a platform to show off the work they produce whilst studying. Scheduled shows are run throughout the week as well as in taught sessions at intervals throughout the year. Outside of these times the service reverts to non-stop commercial music programming with some re-runs of students shows. Because of this our news productions will never be current and are always date stamped with the day they were originally broadcast. At HCRadio we try to explore a wide range of musical tastes from commercial pop, dance, to music from the 60s’ 70’s 80’s and 90’s. We also schedule our own music label ‘Avant Garde’s track from the college music department. You may even catch some of our student made radio adverts for local businesses! Program schedules are updated on our website throughout the year. Please listen in and support our students.
