Send us a text Mercury Retrograde really hit us this past month. It felt like it was never ending. The pure chaos of the universe shedding and shining light on transformation. Not only did our car shit the bed but my husband's grandma his dads mom passed away. On top of all that we had to find out that our daughter's medication that the clinic says is "life or death" is on back order and we had to call around for a week and half trying to find someone who had it in stock or was getting an order. Send us a text June is Men's Mental Health month and I always want to bring awareness to this because I feel like men tend to get left out or "forgotten" about these days. For instance, the doctors called me for a mental health check but never even offered advice on where my husband could go or checked in on my husband. Send us a text Went in for an induction due to having mildly high blood pressure on Mother's Day. They gave me Misoprostol which was meant to help soften the cervix and then I was meant to take Pitocin to put me in labor, but I didn't make it that far. 2 rounds of Misoprostol and I was in full labor and almost missed getting an epidural. We also had to surrender to the fact that I wasn't going to experience a baby shower with this pregnancy as well due to all the crazyness that has been happening with in our family. Send us a text I wanted to touch base on something I found interesting once I went on social media and saw the mob mentality went after Josh Peck after the Quiet on Set Documentary was released. From an outsider looking in it seems that insecurities, casting roles and grooming lead Drake and Josh pinned against each other. Even though Josh may have not been groomed sexually he was in fact groomed by Dan and in some weird way mirrored Dan as the "Fat Funny Kid" while Drake was the "Cool Hot Guy". Send us a text I go into detail about what grooming is and how the quiet on set shows how not only do predators groom their victims, but they groom those around them into thinking their behavior is "normal". I also share pieces of my story and how it relates to this documentary and how the power dynamic that is used in order to force people to submitting to the predator. Sometimes victims repeat the cycle and become the predator in order to "take back the power" and that is shown in the "Quiet on Set" Documentary with Drake Bell's story. As my daughter grows older and is starting to become the age I was when I was sexually assaulted it has started shifting into a shadow and trigger of mine. Her personality reminds me of who I was at her age and how innocent she is; to think that was all taken from me at her age is crazy.
