Janda Lane is the Midday host at 97.1 The Drive (WDRV), where she’s been bringing rock to Chicago’s airwaves for over seven years. She’s also the creator and host of Behind The Song, a podcast honored with a Marconi Award from the National Association of Broadcasters and a Silver Dome Award from the Illinois Broadcasters Association for Podcast of the Year. Each episode of Behind The Song dives into the stories and cultural moments behind classic rock tracks — and why they still resonate today. In her free time, Janda volunteers with Rising Lights Project, an organization dedicated to providing individuals with disabilities and their families opportunities to thrive, learn, laugh, and connect with the broader community. She also leads The Drive’s Gifted program, championing youth-driven music education initiatives across the Chicago area. Janda lives on Chicago’s North Side with her husband and podcast co-producer, Christian Lane, and their two cats, Ollie and Liam, who graciously allow them to stay.
