Jason talks a little about how church introduced him to music, how karaoke gave him room to try new things, and how becoming a music director for a church helped him learn to communicate with audiences through live performance.

Quinton Kamara and Bobby Meador of No Soap, Radio! a larger 7-piece ensemble - to talk about being a marching band nerd and learning to have the greatest time of your life playing music with your friends. What do they sound like? Quinton suggests "headbanger jazz!"

Dario Re is the songwriter and bandleader of Heat Speak, and he visits to talk about the heart of his music including an exclusive acoustic solo performance of "Cupboard of a Grand Fir" of their brand new De Bouquet Ok album.

William Berry composes, arranges, is the music director and also first trumpet for Clarion Brass, with Dr. Andrea Olsen conducting the annual "This is What Christmas Sounds Like" concert presented by KSPS-PBS. Clarion Brass is a 14-piece brass ensemble who've been gathering since 1993 to play the music of Spokane-based composer William Berry. Berry and Olsen talk about how music has shaped their lives and what it means to be a high level professional musician working with these large and talented classically-trained ensembles. Jaeda is a hip-hop artist who started in Spokane, Washington but over her 20 year career she has grown as a musician, producer, and community organizer around creating and celebrating hip hop music in the Northwest.

The Red Books bring a new sound to the Inland Sessions stage, but during this podcast they reveal more about how they came to music, how they view success, and also an acoustic set sure to make you tingle.

As a recording artist, saxophonist, professor, collaborator, producer, and composer, David Larsen joins us in studio to play a couple original solo works and to talk about how he came to dedicate himself to music, personally and professionally, ever since. David's life really is all Jazz, capital "J", and you can hear it as he discusses his family, background, musical influences/experiences, and how exactly one gets around to teaching aesthetics in his music classes.

Caroline and JayJ Carlile are only 50% of folk ensemble SmallTown Strings, but they bring their roots to the table. Although they are both still in their teens, when SmallTown Strings took the stage on Inland Sessions, they showed a sophistication in their songwriting and performance that we will explore in this podcast, including a live acoustic performance from the duo.

Kristen Marlo is a singer/songwriter who brought her roots to Inland Sessions, but today Kristen brings her story which includes how she found her love of performance singing in active warzones while serving in the U.S. Air Force. She plays a live acoustic to illustrate the way and reasons for writing her soulful music.

T.S The Solution is the stage name Devonte Pearson uses to deliver his personal style of enlightened hip-hop to the masses, including to the Inland Sessions stage earlier this year. Devonte visited us to talk about his journey to become a performer, producer, and record label owner in his adopted hometown
