A chance email put me in touch with one of my Radio Heroes from days gone by. It also opened up a treasure trove of rare radio recordings! Today I'll tell you all about this and the fact that Bobbie The Hound has been poorly. His many fans will be relieved to learn that he is recovering, however he's now bald underneath and his bark has gone up an octave or two! Happy listening......

Bobbie the hound has been a bit poorly recently but has the Placebo Effect helped his recovery? Also if you own a modern radio the chances are that it uses Digital Signal Processing. Here's why anoraks like me get excited when DSP is mentioned. Sad ain't it!

Two very good friends of mine have recently fallen out (don't worry - I don't give their real names!). Here I share some advice I heard many years ago which might have prevented it together with a few ideas which might help fix it.

How would you like an "imaginary friend" with their own personality, opinions and eventually a life quite separate from your own? Personally I wouldn't but some folks would so today we are looking at the concept of the Tulpa. Whilst much has been made of this in fiction can it be that tulpas do actually exist? More particularly, might someone else's tulpa be influencing your life in ways you never suspected? Strap in, it's a scary ride!

Does your personality change according to who you are with? If so what happens to those personas when the people who interacted with them are no longer around?

How would you like to have a watch chain dangled down your ear, or perhaps spend an hour watching someone comb a wig? Yes folks we're talking about ASMR - Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response! As the world slides towards more lock downs this might just be the ideal time to discover your own ASMR triggers! (Apologies by the way for calling the phenomenon "Autonomic" and not "Autonomous" in this podcast. It's getting late and I don't have time to record it again - I've got videos of people...

Today I'm going to tell you a true story about an epic journey I made many years ago - on a shopping bike! The journey itself isn't particularly important, but the lesson it taught me is invaluable, even to this day.

Without wishing to be Mr. Trite on this episode, here is a little reminder that enchantment with life is a gift you should regularly give to yourself. Try it sometime - after all, if your life doesn't drastically improve you can always go back to being miserable.
