Description:

Born and raised in Lansing MI, Cheron has always been an entertainer. From singing at weddings to performing on stage, she has never been afraid of large audiences. While studying Journalism at Michigan State University, she landed an internship at the only urban radio station in the capital city, Power 96.5 WQHH. Within a year she was promoted to Morning Show Co-host. In 2001, her dream came true. Cheron was offered the position of Afternoon Traffic Reporter for the Powerhouse Station in Detroit, FM 98 WJLB. After six months in the News Department, she successfully got her own show. You can check her out weeknights on the Quiet Storm, as she slows it down for all the lovers in the D. Every night she features a poem from a listener in "Cheron's Spoken Word." At 11 o'clock, the "Apology Line" is open and she loves to hear you beg! It is very important to Cheron to give back. She has been involved in numerous Community Organizations, including Les Meres et Debutantes, Jack & Jill of America, Girl Scouts of America, and the American Red Cross. She has also participated in the Crop Walk. Her favorite charity is the United Negro College Fund because it offers an opportunity for young people to further their education, when financial difficulty has held them back.
