Description:

Timothy “StoneDancer” Coleman is a multifaceted creative and community leader whose career bridges the worlds of performing arts, education, and nonprofit leadership. With over two decades of experience, Timothy has made a lasting impact both on stage and in service to others. As a seasoned performer, Timothy has graced Broadway stages in acclaimed productions such as *RENT* and *Jekyll & Hyde*, and brought powerful storytelling to life through national tours, regional theater, and film. His passion for movement, expression, and purpose earned him recognition as a dancer and choreographer, while his musical talents were showcased on a Grammy-nominated jazz/funk album in 2001. His performance identity as “StoneDancer” reflects his grounding in authenticity and his unwavering dedication to creative excellence. Parallel to his artistic journey, Timothy has spent over 20 years serving communities in the South Bronx and beyond. As Family Leadership Coordinator for the NYC Department of Education in Mott Haven, he supported 25 schools and 18,000 families, leading initiatives under the My Brother’s Keeper Challenge Grant and developing workshops focused on parent empowerment, job readiness, and small business entrepreneurship. His work continues to uplift families by transforming “someday” dreams into present-day realities. In the nonprofit sector, Timothy has held executive leadership roles with organizations dedicated to youth development and arts education. As Executive Director of Doing Art Together (DAT), he increased the agency’s budget by 40% and optimized systems for greater impact and inclusivity. Prior to DAT, he served as New York Director of Field Operations for BELL (now BellExcel), managing a \$10M budget and overseeing services for 6,000 students annually. His original program, “My Passport to the World,” reached over 3,300 Bronx students through the Department of Education’s Summer Quest initiative. A proud graduate of the PASE Executive Leadership Series and the NY STEM Initiative, Timothy holds an Executive Leadership Certification from the Support Center for Nonprofit Management. He is also the founder of *The Coleman Global Initiative, LLC*, which develops media-based storytelling programs to amplify underrepresented voices through podcasting, filmmaking, and digital media. Whether on a stage, in a boardroom, or in a classroom, Timothy brings authenticity, vision, and heart to every endeavor. He is a firm believer in the power of purpose-driven storytelling to educate, connect, and transform lives.
