104 | Conflict is Inevitable. Arguing is a Choice with Michelle Purta

7/22/2025
Many of us find it very difficult to deal with conflict, whether that be in our personal or our professional lives. And yet, conflict is an inevitable part of a relationship where two individuals with their own thoughts, views and identities come together. Michelle Purta talks to me about how we can see conflict from a different perspective and that while we cannot avoid it, we can avoid arguing and can build healthy marriages rather than feeling stressed and overwhelmed by these relationships. Michelle is a marriage coach, host of The Marriage & Motherhood Podcast, and married mom of 3. Like many of us, she did not grow up with a healthy model for relationships and experienced a lot of challenges with her significant others and these challenges were heightened after she became a mom. After learning the key foundational tools to having a healthy marriage, she now helps couples learn how to help their marriage thrive after kids and how to work through the common challenges couples face once they become parents such as communication issues, resentment and feeling more like co-parenting roommates rather than a romantic couple. 103 | How to Overcome Comparison and Feel More at Ease as a Working Mum

7/15/2025
Do you ever catch yourself comparing your career, your parenting, or your life to someone else's—and instantly feel behind, not good enough, or overwhelmed? You’re not the only one. In this great episode from the archives, we unpack why comparison is so common for working mums and how it quietly chips away at our confidence and peace of mind. You'll learn how to gently step out of the comparison spiral and into a greater sense of ease, presence, and self-trust. I tell you a little more about how this work is deepened inside my group coaching programme, Resilient, where working mums build the mindset and emotional tools to feel calm, grounded, and clear—regardless of what others are doing. If you’re ready to stop measuring yourself against impossible standards and start feeling more at ease in your own life, this one’s for you. 98 | From Having IT All to Having YOUR All with Kim Stokes

6/10/2025
Have you found yourself chasing the elusive 'all', wondering how you are meant to have it all when you are so exhausted and burnt out by trying to do it all? Kim Stokes flips the script on having it all and says that when you offer the same kindness to yourself as you offer to others, you can get out of the having it all trap and find a way to having your all while feeling so much more peaceful, calm and at ease. Kim Stokes is an experienced coach and former HR leader with over 15 years in the corporate world. Kim specialises in supporting overwhelmed working mums to find balance and fulfilment in both their professional and personal lives. As the founder of Kindness for Success, Kim partners with clients who feel like they're constantly smashing plates instead of spinning them. Whether it's the mental load keeping them awake at night or the pressure of "having it all! (which she doesn’t subscribe to), Kim helps them flip that notion to define and live their all – success on their own terms. A key enabler of this is extending ourselves the same kindness we do to others and in Kim’s practical 1:1 coaching, working with small groups or within corporate, Kim empowers individuals to take intentional steps toward a balanced, fulfilled, and present life.
