They’ll dig into the happenstance beginnings, miraculous development, and incredible soundtrack that made this a cult classic masterpiece. Then, Retro Relapse takes us back into the arcade with, perhaps, the largest beat-em-up cabinet of all-time. Finally, a new season means a new music bracket. And this one is out of this world. Let’s take a trip to the past with some of your favorite retro game podcast hosts, as Chops and Craig_WK jump into the Epoch and take a trip to 1995! They look into the history of the game, the brilliant collaboration of the dream team of Japanese style role playing games, as well as the amazing music. One day, quite by accident, a gate to The Legend of Retro was opened by a gang of podcasters skilled in the black arts. This land was like no other. In the gathering twilight, the episode shone from its resting place high above the world. In a long running battle, the leader of the podcasters fought his way past his followers Xander and The Glitch in lust for the episode on Link to the Past. After vanquishing his own followers, the leader stood triumphant over the episode and grasped it with his blood-stained hands. He heard a whispered voice: “If thou hast a strong desire or dream, wish for it…” And in reply, the roaring laughter of the host echoed across time and space and even reached the far-off listeners. The name of this king of podcasters is Craig_WK, but he is known by his alias Mandrag Craig, which means Craig of the Legend of Retro.

Having just made it back onto the streets of Legend of Retro after a long stretch on the inside, TheGlitch is sent to Vice City by his old Boss, Craig_WK. But all does not go smoothly upon his arrival in the glamorous, hedonistic metropolis of Vice City. TheGlitch is set up and loses everything. Craig wants his money back, but the biker gangs, Cuban gangsters, and corrupt politicians stand in his way. Most of Vice City seems to want TheGlitch dead. His only answer is to fight back and take over the city himself. Oh, and Xander’s here too.

On this week’s episode of The Legend of Retro, Craig_WK and Xander finally bring you the follow up to the EarthBound part 1 episode released all those years ago. What? This isn’t that? They already did that last week? What else could this possibly be then…? Perhaps the only other game of the Mother series that they haven’t covered!? In this weeks episode, the Glitch unseals a (seemingly,) friendly demon named Craig_WK who freezes the other hosts and sets the Glitch off on an adventure to recreate the world of podcasting! Listen in, as the duo talk about a Super Nintendo game that never found its way to North America. For the Retro Relapse, the Glitch decided that Craig_WK needed to take a trip: but what horrifying things will he see on his journey? To finish off the episode, the two hosts need to take a trip into the future!

Glitch busts out his list of cheat codes to unlock Craig_WK as they chat about Age of Empires for the PC. Together, they talk about their favorite campaigns, the best characters, and how you should just avoid the Multiplayer mode. The retro relapse is a call back to a previous episode…but they soon realize it was better in their hearts when they hadn’t played it…and then they finish the episode off with the continuation of the Mega Man Music Bracket.

After finally making their way through electrified seaweed infested water, Xander and the Glitch chat about the very difficult Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES. Though Xander believes no single human being has ever completed this game (no matter how many speedrunning stats the Glitch throws at him), one thing is for sure, the music is amazing. In the Retro Relapse, the guys play some basketball and test their rap knowledge. Then, Needle Man goes up against Needle Man as our Mega Man Music Bracket continues.
