The top money making movie of the week goes to a franchise movie with the latest version of The Predator. It knocked off The Nun by a difference of just $6 million. The two-week run of The Nun has grossed $85 million so far. A Simple Favor came in third followed by White Boy Rick and then Crazy Rish Asians is still in the top five with a total run to date of $149.5 million.

However, one huge market might not be showing the movie and it is an odd choice: China. This is the big movie of the week and it is not for the faint of heart. This Melissa McCarthy movie is an odd mix of live action and puppets. This movie is not for the faint of heart as it earns its R-rated movie. Directed by Brian Henson, and written by Todd Berger and Dee Austin Robertson, the entire conceit of “The Happytime Murders” is the notion of puppets behaving badly. Steve Salles says there is about half of a movie in this film and some of the laughs are uncomfortable.
