RADIOLEX is Lexington’s Community Radio. Our mission is to provide a mass media platform to amplify underrepresented local voices and to promote an equitable, inclusive community. Our programming is created by more than 160 of your friends and neighbors—volunteers who produce thousands of hours of original, hyper-local content each year in English on WLXU 93.9 FM and in Spanish on WLXL95.7 FM. RADIOLEX is a go-to information resource for thousands of listeners in Lexington’s urban neighborhoods—especially communities of color, the Latinx community, the LGBT community, and others whose experiences and concerns are not represented in mainstream media. RADIOLEX also plays a critical public safety role by providing real-time, community-level information during severe weather, disasters, and other local emergencies.
