Jessica Simmons MSN, APN, FNP-C, CWON, DNC is the WOCNCB Board Liaison to the JWOCN and shares how these articles can be used as an exam prep tool along with some basic studying tips. These articles are an excellent resource to help prepare for WOCNCB exams and are free open access articles available on the JWOCN® online site.

Gina Day Day BSN, RN, CWON® and Lydia Beal BSN, RN, CWOCN® are filling a gap providing expert clinical care virtually. Learn how they established an online clinic to provide access to care and develop step by step care plans for each patient, helping patients live life with confidence.

Star was a nurse for critical care and trauma in Acute Care before becoming a Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse in 2008. She remained in Acute Care until 2018, when she was given the opportunity to start an Outpatient Clinic at UC San Diego Health Moores Cancer Center specifically focusing on Ostomy patients.

Jeanine Gleba, the Advocacy Manager at United Ostomy Associations of America (UOAA) discusses the value of specialty nursing with Joanna Burgess-Stocks a Certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse (CWOCN). Across the country, there is a huge gap in access to Certified Ostomy Care Nurses. Hear the positive difference access to a Certified Ostomy Care Nurse has on patients, families the health care facility staff. Joanna will discuss the specialty education and clinical skills needed for specialty nursing certification.

Lisa and Sarah are volunteers on the Professional Growth Program Committee, otherwise known as the PGP Committee and will be explaining the difference between Professional Practice Points vs Specialty Points for the Professional Growth Portfolio and also touch on the PGP Audit process.

As a CWOCN In the Acute Care setting, Kristen is the go-to expert for wound and ostomy care. Kristen shares her knowledge and educates clinicians RNs, MDs, as well as, patients and new parents on a variety of topics from wound assessment and dressing techniques to self-ostomy care. She is grateful for the opportunity to have a positive impact on her patient's lives and hopes to inspire others.
