2024 SSARE Graduate Student Grants & Webinar Invite

The Southern Region Sustainable Agriculture Research & Education (SSARE) Graduate Student Grant Program is a competitive program to fund graduate student projects that address sustainable agriculture issues. One of our most popular grants, this program was instituted in 2000 for full-time graduate students (Master’s and Ph.D.) enrolled at accredited colleges and universities. Projects must include a clear and well-defined research topic that benefits sustainable agriculture in the Southern Region. General Info for Graduate Students: up to $22,000 (only 1 each allowed per grad student career)24 monthsadvisor is a requirementIn addition to profitability and environment SARE funds proposals that address social issues, especially issues that affect the quality of life of farmers and the people who live in farm communities. GRAD STUDENT CFP ANNOUNCEMENT FEB 2022 SSARE

The Southern Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education program, or Southern SARE, released the 2022 Graduate Student Grants Call for Proposals. It’s open to Master’s and PhD students enrolled at accredited institutions across the Southern region who are interested in exploring areas of sustainable agriculture through quantitative and qualitative research projects. Submit proposals by twelve noon on May 6th. To be announced in August, a $16,5000 max is awarded for two-year projects which start September 1st.
