Frank and Fearless with Kym Goodes

Arts & Culture Podcasts

Frank and fearless is the ability to have a voice on important issues without fear of retribution. To stand up and say something is wrong without being labelled difficult or sidelined from the discussion. To contribute to a society that embraces debate and is open to wanting to hear from those who raise the sticky, uncomfortable issues, the often inconvenient truths. Hosted by Kym Goodes, Frank and Fearless is a podcast about the strength of voice of women, speaking up and leading the discussions on important issues that impact Tasmania. The term frank and fearless originates from the public service and how an apolitical, professional public service provides impartial advice to the government of the day as a key feature of the Westminster system. The podcast won’t specifically focus on the public service. But it will focus on public policy and public issues that impact how Tasmanians live, work, play and their access to all the essential things that make up a good life. The series will roll out over 6 episodes, one each month. Each episode will look at an issue and areas that women in Tasmania are leading change. The interviews will be with women who have practiced Frank and Fearless in their day to day roles or on a particular area of the community, policy or legislation that they were brave and stood up to be an advocate on. From well known public figures to the quiet voices, motivated by the needs of their family, the mothers and daughters who have stood up to right a wrong or expose injustice. From social issues to ensuring good corporate social responsibility and those who have bravely named up the inappropriate behaviour of men, this is Tasmanian women with a frank and fearless voice. This Podcast series is brought to you by 3P Advisory. At 3P we focus on corporate social responsibility, social and economic impact assessment, social licence, community engagement & capturing community sentiment through monthly data and reporting.
