9. Diamonds Form From Pressure

7/17/2020
A diamond is formed from immense pressure and temperatures deep within the earth over a period of 1-3 billion years. We don’t have that amount of time to turn the pressures of today into something beautiful, we must do so NOW. Can we use this stress to inspire new gems of society, new philosophies, art, music, film, mentalities, mindsets? In episode 9 I talk about the world of 2020 and, as always, get into topics mainly surrounding art and creativity. I mention Henry Matisse and his influence on my recent paper cut-outs project, Rene Magritte, Chirico’s “The Song of Love” and think about the birth of artistic style.

6. Shift Your Perspective

2/25/2020
Changing the way in which you look at the world inside and out can be one of the most profound shifts in consciousness you'll experience. By examining old thought patterns and making a deliberate effort to playfully evolve these habits is not only a fundamental part of creativity but is also a truly rewarding experience for whatever life you choose to live. I make connections between skateboarding and a shifted world view, talk about training yourself to get out of old mental grooves and look towards a new way of thinking using a zoom in/out tool that can dramatically boost you in a direction you may have been wanting to go but have felt stuck. 4. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAC MILLER (A Tribute)

1/19/2020
Mac Miller would have turned 28 years old today (January 19th 2020), in tribute I’ve recorded a raw take on what his music meant to me, how I first became aware of his art and I break down a few of his most meaningful lyrics. It was the Macadelic mixtape, released in 2012, that first caught my attention and since then watching the growth he went through as an artist has been deeply inspiring. His death on September 7th 2018 affected many people around the world, I share my experience of being a fan of his work for so many years and then getting the news of his passing that day, which I’m sure a lot of you will be able to relate to. With the release of his new album Circles (1/17/2020) from @92tilinfinity there’s a revitalized energy to his work and life. With that being said, Happy Birthday Mac!
