He is originally from Long Island and currently runs his art business, and magazine from Northern California. Atta started his art career as a toy designer, and moved into being a professor at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Atta also co-founded Hi Fructose magazine with his lovely wife and fellow artist Annie Owens. Atta is the parent of the international art scavenger hunt, Game of Shrooms. Even with all of these projects, Atta is still a very prolific artist, with his current traveling art exhibit, Upcycled Garden Project.
