Why is Jesus able to provide us an eternal salvation? I. He's the flawless high priest, v26. II. He's the final sacrifice, v27. III. He's our forever Mediator, v28.

Jesus is asked a question about divorce, and he begins his answer with this: "Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female..." I. Jesus shows God’s love for people by healing them, vv1-2. II. Jesus shows God’s love for people in pointing us to his Word, vv3-4. III. Jesus shows God’s love for people in making us male or female, v4.

Jesus is the guarantor of a better covenant, who is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. Why is Jesus a better priest than any other? I. Because of God's oath, vv20-21. II. Because he's the guarantor of a better covenant, v22. III. Because he always lives to intercede for us,, vv23-25.

I. Christians must forgive others who sin against us, and keep on forgiving them, vv21-22. II. But how do we do that? What can give us a heart to do that?, vv23-34. III. We aren’t a forgiven person if we don’t forgive others from our heart, v35.

Jesus is a better hope than the Old Testament law and priesthood could give. Why? Because the law gave a priesthood that brought imperfection, impermanence, and was impotent. But Jesus brings perfection, permanence and power. So in and by Jesus we can truly draw near to God.

I. Melchizedek is a type of Christ, vv1-3. II. Melchizedek is greater then Abraham, and so also is Jesus, vv4-7. III. Melchizedek's Priesthood is greater than the Levitical Priesthood, and so also is the Priesthood of Jesus, vv8-10.

What should we do if someone in the Christian community sins against us? I. If we’ve been sinned against, we should confront the person personally and privately, v15. II. If they won’t listen to just you, you should take others along, v16. III. If they won’t listen to two or three people, take it to the church, for judicial action, v17. IV. If they refuse to listen even to the church, let them be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector, v17b

Who is this mysterious Melchizedek? And how does he resemble Jesus? I. Melchizedek resembles Jesus as a king and priest of God Most High, v1. II. Melchizedek resembles Jesus because he is king of righteousness, v2. III. Melchizedek resembles Jesus because he’s the king of peace, v2. IV. Melchizedek resembles Jesus in that his priesthood wasn’t hereditary, v3a. V. Melchizedek resembles Jesus as a priest forever, v3b.

Jesus says "See that you do not despise one of these little ones." To despise is to look down on them, or think little of them, and then treat them like they are insignificant or detestable. I. Don't despise them because of their guardian angels, v10. II. Don't despise them because of their Good Shepherd, vv12-13. III. Don't despise them because of the will of God the Father, v14.

I. He is our sure and certain anchor. II. He is anchored for us behind the curtain in the Most Holy Place. III. He is our forerunner guaranteeing our safe arrival.

I. We must take great care that we aren’t a stumbling block to other Christians, vv5-6. II. We must be alert as the world puts stumbling blocks before us, v7. III. We must take great care that we don’t stumble ourselves, vv8-9.

How can Christians have full assurance of hope? I. Because of the promise and oath of God, vv13-15. II. Because of the humility, integrity, and kindness of God, vv16-18. III. Because of the Son of God, vv19-20.

I. The argument of the disciples about greatness in the kingdom of heaven, v1. II. In his response, Jesus uses a visual aid, v2. III. And then he gives his verbal lesson, vv3-4
