First up is Rodney Halbower, The Gypsy Hills Killer, who murdered between 2 and 5 women in 1976. His weapon of choice was a knife, so he also acquired the nickname The San Mateo Slasher. Further north, in Canada between 1983 and 2002, is the case of more than 40 women who went missing in the Downtown Eastside neighborhood of Vancouver, but their bodies were never found.
