Ronald Reagan

This audiobook is narrated by a digital voice. Ronald Reagan (1911–2004) was the 40th President of the United States (1981–1989) and a key figure in modern conservative politics. A former Hollywood actor and governor of California, Reagan's presidency was defined by his economic policies, known as "Reaganomics," which emphasized tax cuts, deregulation, and a strong free-market economy. He played a crucial role in the Cold War, adopting a hardline stance against the Soviet Union, advocating for increased military spending, and famously urging Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev to "tear down this wall" in reference to the Berlin Wall. His administration also faced controversies, such as the Iran-Contra affair, but he remained widely popular, often called "The Great Communicator" for his ability to connect with the American public. His leadership is credited with influencing the end of the Cold War and shaping modern conservative ideology. Duration - 54m. Author - Evan French. Narrator - Digital Voice Brian E.
