Beverly is a Certified, Aging Life Care professional and an active member of the Aging Life Care Community. She was a member of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council and Chair for a sub-committee symposium entitled, “Managing End of Life Issues.” She is a member of the Woman’s Initiative Committee, the Transition Network, and a member of the National Speaker’s Association. She is currently writing a book about Solo Aging. Beverly presents workshops throughout the Philadelphia area on successful aging, has written numerous articles on the subject, and has been quoted in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Wall Street Journal and New York Times. Beverly holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Antioch University and a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Villanova University. Beverly can be contacted at bbjoie@solo-wise.com

Art Reilly Photographer, Museum Exhibit Designer, TV Producer/Director, Musician, Educator Art Reilly is a recognized professional in multiple areas of the music and entertainment industry and he has worked with some of the top names in the business. Art was a combat photographer for the 4th infantry division in Viet Nam, during which time he received a bronze star and a purple heart. After his discharge, he became Assistant Lighting Director for Bruce Springsteen, which led to television production where he received multiple Emmy Awards for his work with both HBO and NBC. He was CEO of Paradigm Productions, a multi-media production company that created, produced and presented lighting and special effects for theatre, musical productions and corporate meetings. Art has a wide and varied background in communications with numerous sectors of the population and believes that clear communication is an integral part of any success.

Mark Bardi, a 30 year veteran in the pharmaceutical industry with AstraZeneca, AstraMerck and Merck, talks about his career as Director, Finance & Administration for the Middle East and Africa region located in Paris, France, and how communications played a critical role in his career advancement. Mark held positions in Business Planning and Operations supporting Merck’s international business in Latin America, Far East, Middle East, and Africa, with strong communication skills being vital to advancement. At AstraMerck and later AstraZeneca, Mark held several Sales, Executive Account Management, and Payer Access Strategy positions in the commercial Managed Care group. Mark has also been VP of Business Development for the Danaher Lynch Investment group, providing general business consulting to start-up companies. In all these positions, his ability to communicate clearly, and relay information correctly and effectively, played an important part in his success.
