113. Value Yourself

5/2/2024
113. Value Yourself In today’s episode, we are talking about valuing yourself. The internal belief that you know what you have to offer and standing up for it to anyone and everyone without apology. Every single day I meet with people who feel like they aren't enough. They have thoughts running through their heads that tell them other people are better, smarter and know more. They may recognize that these thoughts are happening, but they don't understand how these thoughts impact their behavior. This kind of thinking impacts everything that they do. They hold themselves back, play small and these thoughts prevent themselves from reaching their potential. This leads these individuals to undervalue themselves and the strengths that they have to offer. 112. Strategic Communication

4/25/2024
112. Strategic Communication In today’s episode, we are going to talk about strategic communication. What I mean by that is the type of conversation where you are trying to influence someone to do something or align with you on what you want to do. However you need to plan this out strategically, you can’t just wing it if you want it to go well. Think about a few different things when you are planning a conversation that involves a big program, project, organizational changes, new strategy or alignment. To have success in these conversations, you need to look at the person first. It will help you plan for it and actually execute it in a better way. 111. What Are You Tolerating?

4/18/2024
111. What Are You Tolerating? On this episode we are talking about the things that you are tolerating, how it impacts your energy and your opportunities to do more in your career and life. To give you some context about what I mean, here are some examples of tolerations: things in your life or work environment that are irritating, people who don’t treat you right, and situations that frustrate you. What is a toleration, you ask? These are the things that stress you out every day, but they haven’t caused you enough “pain” to make a change to them yet. Why is this important? They take your energy away, which can make you feel negative, irritated, skeptical or even angry. That prevents you from being your best self for you, your family, friends, and co-workers. People can feel those negative emotions from you. It can impact how others perceive you and impact opportunities for success. 108. Letting Go to Embrace Something New

3/28/2024
108. Letting Go to Embrace Something New Today’s episode is about letting go. We have opportunities to let go of things (and perhaps people) that don’t serve us anymore. We struggle with it because we grew up with messages that told us we need to make it work. Keep trying to make it work and if you don’t you are a failure. You should give it your best effort, but if it doesn’t work out, that is okay. I am here to tell you that letting go may be the better option. It is easier and so much more empowering for you to live your life that way. 107. Acceptance is a Choice

3/21/2024
107. Acceptance is a Choice Today’s episode is about acceptance. In general, acceptance refers to the act of agreeing to or consenting to something. You can look at acceptance from multiple angles, but today we are going to focus on the acceptance of a situation, another person, and yourself. When change occurs, you have a choice. You can resist it and wish it wasn’t happening or you can choose acceptance and move forward. It can bring new opportunities and possibilities that you couldn’t have imagined if you can be open to it. 106. Let’s Be Bold Today’s episode is about being bold. Do you remember when you were young and you jumped and ran all day long? You didn’t question whether you should do it, you just did it! You were bold and courageous. Somehow, we give away that gift of boldness as we grow older. We give away our power and become doubtful and fearful. It isn’t one big situation that causes that to shift. It is bit by bit over time. 99. Nuances of Leadership

1/25/2024
99. Nuances of Leadership Today’s episode is focused on the nuances of leadership. There are foundational concepts in leadership that you can learn in a class, but then there is the real-world application of leadership that you need to manage. Situations that don’t happen very often will occur. They can be extremely impactful and need to be addressed or have bigger ramifications. It takes courage and the ability to admit when you are wrong. It means you have to own what happens even if you personally had nothing to do with it, but you own the team, and a mistake was made. Visibility happens in good moments, but it can also be important to be visible in the best way during challenging moments too. 1/18/2024
98. Reframing Your Limiting Beliefs Today’s episode is focused on reframing the way that we think about limiting beliefs. You most likely reframe your thoughts throughout your day without even realizing it. Reframing happens when someone shares a new perspective with you, shares some new information that you weren’t aware of or you learn something new on your own. Once you know this, you think differently, and you believe that limiting thought. Although it keeps you safe, you can’t be visible. You can’t have the career that you want…you stay stuck. 94. Comparison of Bragging vs Visibility

12/21/2023
94. Comparison of Bragging vs Visibility Today’s show is about the differences between bragging vs visibility. Bragging is defined as a pompous or boastful statement, arrogant talk or manner by someone. Bragging in the workplace often involves an inflated sense of self-importance and a desire to diminish the contributions of others. Authentic visibility, however, celebrates achievements while acknowledging the contributions of colleagues and expressing gratitude for opportunities and support. Being authentic and sharing information is easier than you think and would never be seen as bragging.
