Morning Glory

This week's Morning Glory heralds the return of Dextro, one of our favourite producers, with two tracks from his beautiful new album 'In The Crossing'. Additionally we feature new music from Italy courtesy Of OKE, plus Brighton's own Branner Griswell and Xspance. We also play a track from Susumu Yokota's seminal 'Sakura' album, a must-have reissue from the excellent Leaf imprint.

What with such a positive response to Lost Idol's first Best Of 2015 Morning Glory show, he's decided to put together a part two! So buckle up for a truly horizontal trip through pastures electronic and chill, with the likes of Four Tet, Digitonal, Grasscut, Amen Ra, John Tejada and Rival Consoles providing the soundtrack.

Lost Idol presents part one of his customary musical round-up of 2015 playing Morning Glory highlights from the year that was. Expect a wide selection of ambient, electronica, psychedelic and Balearic vibes from the likes of Ken Camden, Tom Furse, Steve Cobby, Julia Holter, Wax Stag and Thool as well as the announcement of the Morning Glory Album Of The Year. A dazzling array of music for mind, body and soul on this week's Morning Glory from the electronic and bleepy to the acoustic and plucky. Featured artists include Floating Points, Max Richter, Jacaszek, Sabres Of Paradise, Beck, Greg Haines and Fridge. Tune in, chill out.

Lost Idol presents an hour of deep electronica, ambient and experimental listening fare. This week's edition features the old and the new with upfront material from Shigeto, Tunnel Club, Vai and Dead Fader alongside some former Morning Glory highlights from Bersarin Quartett and The Sight Below plus a true classic from Plaid.

This week's Morning Glory embarks on a journey through some deep dub electronic vibes courtesy of Germany's Biodub, taking in crystalline electronica from Brighton''s Shaolin Colour Cult along the way. We then head in to Balearic waters with new music from CFCF, ROTLA, Thool, Wax Stag and Panoram, and end on a distinctly Krautrock-tinged trip with Leo Abrahams.

This week's Morning Glory is a fabulously electronic affair taking in both the old and new. We commence with some classic Artificial Intelligence-era Warp courtesy of Beaumont Hannant, a little Cluster and an old Ninja Tune favourite from Funki Porcini then move to pastures new with music from Thool, Kelpe and Erik Luebs.

A wealth of upfront electronica on this week's show with Nuage, Om Unit, Erik Luebs and The Black Dog all striking a righteously leftfield stance. Alongside that we bring you classic ambience courtesy of John Foxx, the cyclic brilliance of Steve Reich and a truly heart-warming remix of the new Grasscut single from Tom Metcalfe.

Apply sun cream, ease into deck chair. This week's Morning Glory is a particularly summery affair, with with some strictly horizontal hazy tunes from the likes of Mrs Jynx, Automat, Apeanaut and Panoram. Also an upfront play of the brand new single from Air's Nicolas Godin. Sun hat is optional.

This week Morning Glory bids farewell to electronic pioneer and sonic explorer Dieter Moebius who sadly passed away recently, dovetailing the show with tracks from Harmonia and Cluster. Joining the dots between that we have new music from LHF, Lee Bannon, White Poppy and Ambrosia (@) plus some classic tracks from Richie Hawtin's F.U.S.E alias and Aphex Twin.

This week we say a sad farewell to Japanese producer Susumu Yokota who passed away recently with a track from his seminal album 'Sakura'. Also in the mix this week music from Vangelis, the shadowy LHF collective, Black Channels, Prefuse 73, Seabeat and Tunnel Club.

This week we embrace the welcome return of some true leftfield veterans in the form of The Orb, Qluster, Four Tet, T.Power and Steve Cobby (of Fila Brazillia, Solid Doctor and Pork renounce). Alongside that merry bunch we offer up new music from Omega Path, Amirali and U.

Lots of Morning Glory exclusives this week from artists you may not yet be familiar with, but certainly should be! Bledig represents Brighton with a beautifully unusual piece for piano, saxophone and sampled spoken word, Deadman's Ghost flies the flag for Belfast with some oddball electronic dub manoeuvres while Tunnel Club bring a classic techno sound with a twist straight outta Newcastle. Alongside that lot we bring you new music from Jaga Jazzist, Funkstorung and Anton Zap.

The first ever Morning Glory live transmission sailed through pastures ambient, electronic and beyond with a fine concoction of early morning music including new platters from Amon Tobin, Ken Camden, Walls, Simian's Lord Skywave, Slime and Digitonal.

Deep electronic beats in abundance on this week's Morning Glory! Sagat and Andy Stott provide muffled techno 4am-style, Lapalux and Sagat represent the now sound of instrumental hip hop, Dorian Concept goes Balearic courtesy of Bibio whilst Panoram serves up sun-dappled psychedelia straight outta the eternal city of Rome.

This week Lost Idol plunders the Morning Glory vaults bringing you many-a-classic track from times gone by including out-there ambience from Mountains and The Future Sound Of London, analogue techno experiments from Luke Abbott and James Holden alongside acoustic-based fare from Tape and Zoon Van Snook.

Another mix-up of the very best upfront electronic music selected and mixed by Lost Idol. This week's show includes new cuts from Flako, Finnish producer Jani R, Christian Loeffler, Prof. Delacroix, John Tejada and a superb remix of The Glitch Mob from Warp veterans Plaid.

Another show chockablock with leftfield listening of the highest order. Kicking off with shoegazing electronics from Transient Waves, we traverse through Kraut-dub oddness from Reichmann, downtempo boom-bap from Implosion Quintet and Synkro and finish on some uptempo gems from Maribou State and Jake Chudnow.

Piano-led ambience from Jon Hopkins and Lambert, plus instrumental hip hop beats from Implosion Quintet, a truly epic soundscape from Eskmo, and a homage to the cartoon heroes of the 1980s from Laszlo. Lost Idol presents an hour of the finest in new experimental, electronic-based listening on Morning Glory.
