anything goes with emma chamberlain

Cadence13

emma prefers to share her thoughts with a microphone rather than a physical human being, so thank god she has a podcast. recorded from the comfort of her bed...and some other fun places, emma talks at length about whatever is on her mind every week. anything really does go on this podcast. sometimes philosophy, sometimes a random story from 10 years ago, sometimes advice, sometimes fun interviews, and sometimes nothing at all. you never know what you are going to get, but that’s what keeps it interesting. new episodes every thursday and sunday, video available only on spotify.

it’s okay to change your mind, a talk with emma

7/25/2024
i've noticed something about myself - in periods of self-reflection, the hardest things for me to address are contradictions and inconsistencies in my personality. and it makes sense why this is so uncomfortable to address. it's because i feel like the consistency between our beliefs and our actions gives us a sense of emotional stability. and when you find a contradiction or an inconsistency, it rattles that piece of our foundation. an inconsistency that i've found within myself recently is that, sometimes, i’m afraid to change my mind. so today, I'm going to discuss why it's okay to change our minds. my “hot girl summer” routine, explained

psychology of sex, a talk with lori beth bisbey [video]

6/20/2024
[video available on spotify] today, we're talking about sex, which is funny because i am not known as a super sexual person. i'm somebody who could not have a more cookie-cutter sort of sexual experience. i'm a monogamous dater. i'm also somebody who doesn't love casual sex. i've never experimented in any open relationships. and this is why i’m excited to speak with lori beth bisbey. lori is a sex and intimacy expert and psychologist. she also hosts the podcast, “the a to z of sex.” we’re gonna talk about non-monogamous relationships, kinks, fetishes and more. so let’s welcome lori beth bisbey. you can listen to lori's book, "dancing the edge to reclaiming your reality" here: https://open.spotify.com/show/7mXEAidEahV3sjuUzEt17r?si=ff7e879691af4f18 Learn more about your ad choices. this episode is about to be very weird and meta because i'm going to be discussing a life lesson that i learned from making this podcast. and the reason why this is going to be weird and meta is because i rarely discuss what goes into making this podcast. it’s about realizing that i tried to fix something that wasn’t broken, and how it led me to a confusing place. a talk with charli xcx [video]

6/6/2024
[video available on spotify] today, i’m feeling a little more energized than usual because it's not often that i'm in the presence of a pop star - charli xcx aka charlotte atchison. are you kidding me? she runs her own label, directs music videos, co-manages developing artists, and has collaborated with so many incredible, talented people: blondie, selena gomez, gwen stefani, camila cabello, shawn mendes, benny blanco, david guetta… the list goes on. charli’s latest album, her sixth, is called “brat” and comes out tomorrow. if making music wasn't enough, she'll soon be making her acting debut in the horror film, “faces of death.” i would consider charli a friend, however, i've never talked to her about her work before. so i'm excited to learn more about her creative brain. without further ado, let me bring in the iconic charli xcx. the ethics of anti-aging, i’m ranting again

5/26/2024
when you're young, birthdays are exciting because it means that you're unlocking new, adult activities. you're unlocking new mature responsibilities. this year, i turned 23 and realized that's over for me. depending on who you are, birthdays after a certain point can become even more exciting or even more daunting. personally, i'm pretty neutral. but i will say that it feels like societally we are afraid of aging. growing up, i saw endless anti-aging commercials - anti-aging facial moisturizers, anti-aging supplements, etc. we've grown up watching people cover up their aging, so i think it makes sense why societally some of us are afraid of it.
