#5: Marriage, Responsibility, and Outside Influence: With Rabbi Zimmerman

2/15/2026
In Part 2 of The Marriage Series, Mena Reisner continues the conversation with Rabbi Zimmerman, focusing on the forces that shape a marriage from the outside as much as from within. #3: Sibling Rivalry and Family Dynamics: With Dayan Posen

1/18/2026
Dayan Posen examines sibling rivalry through a halachic and human lens. Why do siblings compete so intensely for parental attention? How much damage does perceived favouritism cause, even years later? What should parents be careful about at the Shabbos table, around praise, or when helping children differently? And when old grievances resurface in adulthood, is reconciliation always the goal, or are boundaries sometimes healthier? A fascinating discussion on how family dynamics shape children long after they leave the home. Elon Musk Slams Netflix | Netflx Loses 200,000 Subscribers in First Quarter 2022

4/21/2022
As the streaming service Netflix loses subscribers--some 200,000 recently--Elon Musk slams Netflix in a tweet that has been receiving a lot of response. In a recent letter to their shareholders, the streaming giant seems to still be painting a rosy picture of their company, while at the same time trying to convince shareholders that the loss could not be due to any of the platform's content. Florida Bans Math Textbooks in Schools

Book ban in Florida Schools recently due to critical race theory in math textbooks, along with SEL (Social Emotional Learning) and various other topics and unsolicited strategies. “It seems that some publishers attempted to slap a coat of paint on an old house built on the foundation of Common Core, and indoctrinating concepts like race essentialism, especially, bizarrely, for elementary school students,” Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said in a statement. In today's episode, Curtis talks shares a story from the Daily Wire, as well as a personal and ridiculous experience from over 20 years ago with one of his daughters and the math curriculum at her elementary school. Exciting Updates and an Interview with a Hollywood Stuntman

12/1/2021
This week's episode is deviating from the norm a bit. A busy Christmas Holiday performing schedule is disrupting the schedule somewhat for the month of December, and the show is actually getting a complete overhaul. I take a few minutes today to talk about some things that are happening soon and replay one of my favorite interviews that I had this past year in an earlier episode. The episode is a replay of an interview I did with my friend and former Hollywood Stuntman Jeff Bornstein, who shares various stories about life doing movies in Hollywood, including the time he was actually knocked out during a fight scene by Sylvester Stallone. Jeff is a really great guy with some interesting stories. If you'd like to see the full interview, it is available on my YouTube channel where you can actually see some video of the scene where he was knocked out, as well as some of footage from Jeff's various travels from around the world. Also, if you haven't done so already, make sure to subscribe to the YouTube channel as future podcast episodes will be made available there in video form as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hbOGc_0fT4 SOME CORPORATE CHRISTMAS PARTY DATES STILL AVAILABLE. David Copperfield Wrote A Book and Women In Magic

11/3/2021
International star magician and illusionist David Copperfield recently published a new book entitled "David Copperfield's History of Magic." Rachel Shteir of the Wall Street Journal recently wrote a review of this book, and I felt compelled to say something about it. Her review includes a somewhat critical section about David's insufficient homage to some of the women in magic history; so... I felt compelled to say something about this also. I mean, that's what people do in podcasts sometimes; say something in response to things other people have said. The Alec Baldwin Shooting, The Time I Almost Killed Several Men, and Fall Festivals

10/24/2021
Alec Baldwin fired a "prop gun" while on set of the film "Rust," and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza. Many on social media and elsewhere are insisting that it is absolutely not his fault and that the blame lies on others in the production crew. I talk about this from the perspective of an actor who has been on several movie sets involving the use of guns, and as an 8 year military veteran in a combat arms MOS with considerable gun safety training. I also share a deeply personal experience about the time I almost killed several of my fellow soldiers during a training exercise in Alaska, as well as a recent experience with a Fall Festival show and why I rarely book them anymore...BY CHOICE. My Guest Has Worked With Robin Williams, David Bowie, Steven Spielberg, and Orson Welles, Just To Name A Few

8/16/2021
I have a very special guest on the show today...I told you about him last week. I can't tell you how thrilled I am to have him sitting and chatting with me today. He's a man who has circled the entertainment globe a number of times. He has some great stories to share with us from over 50 years in the entertainment business as a comedy magician, actor, speaker, and variety entertainer. He's performed for and worked with such world-renown names such as David Bowie, Kenny Rogers, Steven Spielberg, and Orson Welles, just to name a few. Originally from London, he's entertained British Royalty, American Presidents, Business Legends and Hollywood Icons. In Las Vegas he's performed at Bally's, Caesar's Palace, Harrah's, and the Luxor and has been regular featured performer on most major cruise ship lines. In my opinion, this is a guy who has just done it all--he's had a wonderful career in the world of magic, comedy and entertainment. Ladies and gentlemen please welcome with me, Mr. Nick Lewin.
