Russ just got out of a shoulder surgery so we talk about the origin of this injury. We dig into how it related to his accident and we talk shop on some other related topics including; growing up on a farm, oilfield, how we became friends, his time in a burn ward, and many other random events. The episode went longer than we thought so we split it into two episodes. In 2000, right after graduating high school, my buddy, Russ, was in a car accident that would change the trajectory of his entire life. He was not able to take any breaths on his own. He had a 0.1% chance of survival and there was even less of a chance that his brain would leave a vegetative state.
